My guess at ranking broad political tendencies by misery: 1) Fascists. Even when they’re winning they seem to be in complete disarray and agony about their paranoid fantasies 2) Socialists/anti-capitalists. Every day consists of Witnessing The Horrors, then screaming at each other, but at least you get to be Correct and have weird gay sex 3) Liberals. Things aren’t great right now, but basically been in the driver’s seat for the last 200 years. They’ve racked up a lot of wins, their ideology allows them to divorce their daily concerns from a separate “political sphere” which they can ignore entirely when convinced it’s being run by competent technocrats 4) Normie conservatives. Usually dumb and well-off, practically a guarantee for happiness. Religion and family as balms for the soul, mindless obedience to hierarchy removes agony over choices and agency. Basically dogs. Barely exist anymore 5) The “apolitical.” Self explanatory
