Which figure in church history caused the greatest harm through their teachings?

We launched a Bible Study and growth group specifically for our college students that are back home for summer. We studied through Galatians and Philippians. Over 35 students came through and 2 accepted Jesus (invited by other students). Praise God for what He is doing at GCC!

@malachiobrien His life reminds us preachers that pride will always lead to destruction. His moral failure is a reminder that anyone can fall into sin and that we must always be on guard against temptation.

Today was the day he has sung about for decades. He met his beloved Savior and entered the portals of glory. At the same time, we rejoice knowing that we will see him again one day. For over seven decades, Brother Swaggart poured out his life preaching the gospel, singing songs of the faith, and pointing millions to the saving power of Jesus Christ and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. His voice echoed through nations, his music softened hearts, and his message never changed: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. He was not just a preacher—he was a worshiper, a warrior, and a witness to the grace and mercy of God. He was a man whose faith was steadfast and always entered whatever door the Lord opened. And the Lord honored that faith. Please continue to lift up Sister Frances, Donnie, Debbie, Gabriel, Jill, Jennifer, Clif, Matt, Joanna, Sam, Ryder, Abby, Lola, Harper, Navy, Harrison, Caroline and Mackenzie in your prayers. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at Baton Rouge General Medical Center for their incredible support and care given during this time.

(7/7) I’m praying thousands of lives will be transformed by the gospel through his ministry. Going to miss him but I’m excited to see all that God has in store.

(6/7) He is now moving with his family to Korea to become the 4th Senior Pastor of Global Mission Church, the largest Baptist church in Korea. I can’t think of a better person for this role. I truly believe God will use him mightily to impact the next generation in South Korea

(1/7) I’m forever grateful for our Pastor David Woojoon Kim’s influence in my life over the past two years. He was the 2nd Senior Pastor of Good Community Church of Torrance from January 2017 to April 2025.
