Worship is a Spirit-led overflow of God’s identity through a believer by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that manifests itself in an expression that proclaims God.

Grateful to have passed my exit interview today with W Andrew Williams, Jake Roudkovski, and Archie England. Thanks, guys, for reading my 265-page ministry project and conducting my exit interview. I can’t recommend the Doctor of Ministry @NOBTS highly enough!

@pjgurry Yes. I used his commentary on Genesis, 1 & 2 Timothy, and am currently using his commentary on Mark and interacting with it in my DMin project. I think his hermeneutic and his emphasis on pragmatics need more attention. Thank you for recommending them!

If you’re a preacher, make sure you check out Abe Kuruvilla’s series of theological commentaries for preachers. The ones I’ve used have been really helpful. amzn.to/4ehCM2r

I don’t love preaching because I love to preach. I love preaching because it allows me to draw near to God through His Word, and then I get to share that intimacy with God through His Word with His precious people. I love preaching because I love God, His Word, and His people.

“Imitating Bible characters, though popular and superficially easy, is a dead-end road for true biblical preaching. It is a homiletical shortcut that results in a hermeneutical short circuit.” - Sidney Greidanus
