@SandyofCthulhu This is the kind of thing LLMs are good at. Setup a prompt for ChatGPT/Grok with the some details on the things you want ignore (i.e. ignore anyone trying to sell me something). Then using the X API you can download you DMs once a day and get a report of DMs worth reading

So I need some advice. I hate looking through my DMs because I have a TON of them, plus a ton of requests. I guess that goes along with having 50k+ followers, so I'm not really complaining. I'd rather have the followers. But it makes it really hard to slog through the DMs and answer them. I'd say about a third of the requests are from people that want to sell me something or use me for something (one guy wants me to help him design some sneakers?!) so those are particularly obnoxious. Should I just completely give up on DMs or is there a way to parse them? I mean, sometimes I talk to somebody here that I absolutely want to discuss more with via email. Suggestions welcomed.

@eatonphil Can confirm it's a tree walking intepreter, however the tree being walked is not the AST but rather a semantic graph. Which is similar in structure to an AST but were syntactic sugar etc, all collapse to the same semantic graph.

Hey InfluxDB people, I have a question. You've got github.com/influxdata/flu… that says you compile to an IR that you execute in a virtual machine. But your virtual machine is still a tree-walking interpreter, is that right? It's not a stack- or register-based virtual machine, is that right? #L352" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/influxdata/flu… github.com/influxdata/flu…

@leothrix If you do join a mastodon server let me know and I'll likely join just to check it out.

@leothrix I have been following mastodon from a distance for a while now. I generally like supporting federated social media. (I use matrix/element daily). Biggest problem I have with mastodon is I haven't found a server I want to join. Every server seems to be highly specialized.

I'm hanging onto Twitter as long as I can because the peer group is the value, but... what's our backup plan? I see cohost mentioned but mastodon seems much less single point-of-failure prone. Sort of a "let a hundred flowers bloom" moment for federated social, I guess

@_morgan_adams_ @leothrix 3 This does not justify using poor sites, but I personally don't know what site I would recommend. Seems like there are no good choices. So its not surprising to me that people end up finding sketchy sites to share. (Deleted and unnested tweets )

@_morgan_adams_ @leothrix 1 Anecdote: ~week ago Trump gave a speech on voter fraud. I was curious what he had to say, searching Google the first two pages of results did not have a link to the video, rather just clips of news sites commenting about the video. Using DuckDuckGo it was the first hit
