@SGTWipper1Each Carson was sweet, Hunter Army Airfield wasn't too shabby, and Ft Kobbe Panama was pretty nice.

@keefer1536 Don't feel that way bro, all part of the same team. Never saw an Army mechanic that wasn't constantly busting ass in the motor pool. Tank, plane or whatever, if shit ain't movin, we ain't fightin'. Thanks for being there, much respect.

In my Ranger School class we had a Force Recon NCO and Officer. The officer was a pretty solid guy, the NCO was a bit of a fuck up. He got us both a major spot report in Benning Phase because he fell asleep on his watch in a fighting position. Dipshit. We all graduated but I don't think they had a fun vacation.

@Iamtammytavares Lol.. you bet. One of my fav lines was from Junior Samples.. "I may not know a lot, but I suspect a lot"
English

@ThinkingJack67 @Ragin_Cajun79 @USAA 😅You weren't kidding. Several places can easily see Tim and Eric vibes.
English

@Ragin_Cajun79 @USAA They’ve been firing Americans and outsourcing for ages. I left them 10+ years ago. They are trash. Pass the word.
The company not only celebrates, but forces celebration of Indian holidays, on American workers. Pass the word.

Matt Forney@mattforney
EXCLUSIVE: an insider at USAA provides footage of the company's recent Diwali event. It looks like a Tim and Eric skit. Remember, while USAA throws parties for Indians, it ignores American holidays and its veteran employees are committing suicide from stress and layoffs.
English

I'll say it...
@USAA has become a garbage company that grifts and lies.
Delay. Deny. Defend.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@boonecutler Full of Honors, Full of Years. Godspeed Sir. RLTW!
English

@RDog861 @boonecutler Commander of 5th Ranger Bn, MG Raaen is still around, 103. As far as public records can confirm he's the last D-Day Ranger standing.
English

@coastalchillin Hey Steve, it was probably me, I had chat/message set to no one, changed it to verified. Hope all is well with you.
English

@NativeArkie Hey man trying to dm you but I’m not sure you have that turned on. Or maybe I’m not doing it correctly?
English

@coastalchillin Hey Steven, When you do, it'll be interesting to hear his thoughts on it.
English

Hey there. Haven’t made it back yet, he had company in town last week and then today asked us to call Monday for next week. I’ll take my iPad to show that photo and see if there’s any conversation from that.
Was thinking about it since I just got off the phone with my buddy who handles the scheduling.
English

@darkw3b930 @infantrydort Not sure if you've heard, Don passed away yesterday or last night. Damn.. ranks of legends are thinning.
English

I had no nonsense NCOs when I was a Private. One of them was 1SG Scott Hafford.
One time during a training exercise, we woke up at 0200 for a mission.
After sunrise, 1SG found me. I didn’t shave and he called me out.
1SG: “Why didn’t you shave?”
Me: “My bad 1SG, I woke up at 0200.”
1SG: “What the f*ck? So? A razor don’t work at 0200?”
I had nothin……
Went and shaved immediately lol.

Wow, what an honor to have known one of those men for so long. They were a different breed of cat. Was fortunate to get to spend time with a 3rd Batt Ranger, Denman Wolfe, couple months before he passed. I believe he was the last surviving member of 3rd.
I'm sure between you and your buddy you both could recall quite a bit! No doubt some great memories from those visits.
Former 1st 75th old scroll, still try to keep a finger in the pie and on the pulse, lol. I think, and hope, that a lot of those old Rangers were pleased at how their legacy has help shape the modern Ranger Regiment.
Very cool reply, didn't see that coming. Thanks for sharing, RLTW!
English

Have known him for roughly 25 years. In the last couple years we’ve tried to ramp our visits up to weekly.
I can’t even begin to describe what a gift it has been to know him. The biggest regret my buddy and I have is we should’ve been recording all these chats over the years!
Interestingly I’ve never seen that pic before, I’ll take it with me next week for discussion.
English

Lol. Didn't think that was the answer, thought I'd give it a go. Anyone in 5th would be likely passed by now or has their name engraved on plaques in Normandy. And they would have known the Rangers in this pic. Sadly, it seems that there may be only one Ranger left from 5th Batt, Major General John C. Raaen Jr. RLTW!

English

@coastalchillin @dmbkparker If he was referring to 5th Ranger Training Battalion, then he'd probably be a Ranger Instructor.
English

@technomantics @TheVixhal They're moving to a low entropy state.
English

@TheVixhal In actual testing, it is less than 3,000 different results, and the more you shuffle the same deck, by the same person, the more orderly it can become. Casinos have multiple controlled decks for many reasons.
English

If you shuffle a deck of cards properly, the exact order you get has almost certainly never existed before in human history and never will again.
The number of possible arrangements of 52 cards is 52 factorial, which works out to a number so large that it has 68 digits. To put it in perspective: even if every person who ever lived shuffled a deck once per second since the beginning of the universe, you would still barely scratch the surface of all possible arrangements.
So every time you shuffle a deck, you are most likely holding a sequence that is completely unique in the history of the universe.
English

@ellisreyes @infantrydort Also there in Feb, ass deep in snow. 2nd hootch from the right, Class 3-79. RLTW!
English

@infantrydort What time of year were you in the Mountains? I was there in February. I was spared a lot of the mountain laurel, but we froze our asses off.

English

I'm not so sure he meant recruiting as much as 'this is where our guys come to us from' kinda thing. Delta doesn't really do recruiting. Any service member from any branch can submit a selection packet. That said, there have been DEVGRU members that went to Delta. Msgt Holland comes to mind.
English

@eMTBrides Im sorry but USMC veteran? With all due respect I've never heard of any record of Delta "recruiting" from DEVGRU. This is all recency bias due to the Madura capture. Keep in mind DEVGRU is also a tier 1 component of the U.S. Military recruiting only from the Navy.
