Frankly, you should just get a Wii. They're cheaper and play Gamecube games just as easily. The only reason to get a Gamecube is if you plan on using the GBA Player or one of the other specific accessories that only works on the Gamecube. The Wii is cheaper, and you can get controllers and stuff for it far easier.
