Holy crap @bbcweather hurricane winds of 14,734mph reported on your app?
Has Michael Fish come out of retirement and playing it safe?

If you’re looking for something to watch this evening at 9pm on BBC 4 you can watch ‘Cumbrian Reds - saving our Red Squirrels’ from Terry Abraham.
Terry’s previous work included the ‘life of a mountain’ series.

Sad to hear Joe Kinnear has passed away.
He was a great manager for Luton gaining promotion (to now League one). He was treated very badly by the new owners and their ‘manager idol’ stunt.

We are saddened to learn that our former manager Joe Kinnear has passed away at the age of 77. Our thoughts are with Joe’s friends and family at this time, Rest in Peace 🧡

@o_burbidge I’ve been watching the historic rates as I’m trying to get family over to @OctopusEnergy.
For the last year it’s been generally under the standard rate. There’s been a few peaks but on average it’s well under the standard rate.

English

@AnnieLeymarie @markrossdev @o_burbidge solar and battery allows tariffs such as agile or octopus flux where there are different cost periods throughout the day. Charge the battery at low cost to reduce the overall unit cost.
Octopus compare is good but tariffs will affect how/when you use energy so it’s a guide.
English

@markrossdev @o_burbidge I have solar and battery but no EV. I am a frugal consumer. What's best for me?

In 2023 I've exported over 5 x more energy than consumed. My smallish 3-bed terraced house is all electric and I mostly live alone, though some guests also stay. I have solar PV, a battery, a heat battery for hot water, 3-g windows/door, decent insulation, efficient appliances.

Watching Red Squirrels at Grasmere earlier today, followed by watching Terry Abraham’s #cumbrianRed at the Rheged Centre was a great wildlife day
Now settling into a night at Tebay Services as our campervan Aire is closed due to #StormBabet . There could be worse places to be

@LottieLozenge @MartinSLewis You don’t need an electric car for ULEZ! Our 12 year old Toyota verso S 1.3 petrol is fine.
Most petrol cars under 16 years old and diesels under 6 years old are ULEZ compliant.

English

@MartinSLewis It depends , policies to ensure houses are well insulated , community energy projects, industrial clusters etc are great where they save money in the long term. However punishing people for not being able to afford an electric car through ULEZ is unfair.

@Katerschnurr @paulnaisbitt_dk You know Welsh Water are one of the worst UK water companies for discharge sewage into water courses don’t you (600k hours last year).
Scotland don’t have to report overflows in the same way as England & Wales, but still have the same issues.
dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-…
English

@paulnaisbitt_dk I think you are referring to England's rivers and seas. Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland do not have private water companies making obscene profits for their shareholders by dumping untreated sewage in rivers and coastal outlets.

@Dean82482097 @LutonTown LTFC ticket office aren’t that stupid!
You’d need to get the Dolrean out and go back to the past so you had a previous purchasing history.
It sounds like some of the delays have been to help older fans get tickets when they don’t have internet access or aren’t techie savvy.
English

@LutonTown So if i make a Luton account tonight I can go for tickets tomorrow??? As long as I stay quiet and hide my City top I should be ok. 😄😁😆
English

General sale has been pushed back to 2pm tomorrow and the Ticket Office is closed today.

@_SeanNUFC @domdyer70 Sounds like we think quite similar. It shouldn’t get to a point where firearms are discharged in this way. Poor handling of this situation means there are lessons that need to be learnt for the future. Without public pressure it will be swept under the carpet blaming the owner.
English

@_SeanNUFC @domdyer70 I hadnt seen your video of before the shooting of the 1st dog. That’s justifiable and all on the owner. The 2nd dog is a much different situation and less justifiable.
There’s likely more to this than we see in the videos. From the train photos there likely an alcohol issue.

Whether you agree or not with the Just Stop Oil protests the new powers the government have given the police should worry us all.
Perhaps when it’s you they come after you may think differently!
