Likely enough we are going to our doom. But if we stayed home and did nothing, doom would find us anyway, sooner or later.

@HomericFuturist True. But who is at fault, us for not following the “perfect plan” or the plan itself for being too idealistic for the real world?

Sooner or later we’re all going to have to realize that we are designed to “need” others and that artificial social constructs which allow one to skirt around that do more harm than good. Weve already gotten to the point where we dont “need” a community… and weve seen how thats worked out. We are now getting into the territory of not “needing” spouses and partners. We have our own jobs, apartments, food delivery, AI bf/gf, labor-saving technology, artificial means of reproduction, and individualized entertainment. Does anyone seem happier, healthier, or more fulfilled because of that? Radical individualism is a toxic ideology and its led to horrible social outcomes. We are not individuals unto ourselves, we are isolated, depressed pieces of the natural human unit: the tribe

“Abolish the family” means that every single person is taken care of regardless of who they are married or connected to It means you can live a full, good life even if your spouse controls all the labor income in the household, and tries to financially abuse you

Gonna have to start incorporating quinoa into my diet. Turns out it’s actually a very close relative of knotweed, which mesolithic northern European hunter gatherers ate in large amounts.

@JoelMCurzon Depends on what “happier” entails. Is it just a hormone boost or is it a positive increase in living conditions which result in happiness? If believing a lie allowed for a better life then id be willing to give it a shot. Thats how religions work after all

Oxford definition then: “the murder of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group, with the aim of destroying that nation or group” We did that too lol what definition of genocide could you be working with that wouldnt qualify the indian wars/westward expansion? The only thing we didnt do is successfully kill literally all of them. But by that definition hardly any genocides have ever happened in history

@Nature_Nate1 I don't accept the definition of organization like the UN who has had nations like Saudi Arabia on the Commission for the Status of Women, or China, Cuba, or Sudan on the human rights council. Patent absurdity given the subject matter.

It used to be common knowledge that 90%-95% of American Indians died of disease, smallpox being the chief culprit. Which is an enormous human tragedy, but not a genocide by any definition. Sometime around the 70s, academics started lying about this, and by the 90s the lie had really taken hold. The question of course, is whether Ms. Brooks is a liar or merely one who was lied to. 🤔
Ava Brooks@ViralMindLive

The largest genocide in human history did not occur in Nazi Germany, but in North and South America. The massacre of 100 million Native Americans and the loss of their ancestral lands.

“These five criteria of genocide include killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Victims are targeted because of their real or perceived membership of a group, not randomly.” We did all of these things. The reservation system was specifically designed to educate them out of their own culture and beliefs, we took their children of off-reservation schools to separate them from their culture, we went to war illegally (against our own laws) against them. Genocide isnt as simple as “kill 100% of them”. Its the systematic deconstructing of an identity. Which we very much did try to do.

@Nature_Nate1 Words have meaning. Given the reservation system (misguided and cruel as it was) what happened was definitionally NOT a genocide.

@Cafe_Nico_Latte Right, there’s still a whole life around their relationship. But if the man wants to spend his 8 hour work day trading for 3 hours and then gaming for 5 then let him

She needs to grow up and get over it. All the responses that ive seen to this are some version of “its not about the money, being a bum is a mindset and women hate bums” Its fair enough that a woman would feel an ick about a lazy-but-competently-wealthy husband. Her hunter-gatherer genes dont know how to process what they are seeing. No one 12,000 years ago could provide and protect on just a few hours a day. But we don’t live 12,000 years ago. This man has done his job, he brings home a whole damn mammoth for you every day, and he does it with minimal effort. Youre saying that superman is unattractive because he protected you from the robber too easily. As a woman, acknowledge the absolute blessing youve found yourself in, acknowledge the fact that your instincts are misfiring, and do your best to be appreciative instead of resentful. Youre not a child, you CAN choose to reshape your perspective. This scenario is a perfect microcosm of the modern world. Western men, for the last 10 centuries, have spent their time, money, and blood to conquer history itself and “win” the game of existence. Living in the first world has (until recently) been the equivalent of having a husband who makes $500,000 every day in a couple hours of trading. Of course, given the luxurious context, modern western men wont have all the traits of an uber masculine caveman, they wont tickle all the primal fantasies of women. And the fact that women have been taught to believe those fantasies MUST be tickled in order for her to live her best life is an enormous problem and a huge impediment to fulfilling relationships and family formation today.
Traders Confessions@TradersConf

My wife hates my lifestyle. Even though I’m averaging $300-500k a year from trading she hates that I trade for 2-3 hours a day then play playstation and chill for the rest of it. It doesn’t matter how much I make, she treats me like her unemployed bum husband who won’t get a job.

If you could move to any African country, which would you choose? I’d pick Liberia. >Founded by freed American slaves >Copied our flag and Constitution >Name literally means “land of the free” in Latin Liberia is basically a science experiment: “If black Americans had their own country, what would it be like?”
