Cracking day at @RSPBMinsmere Wednesday great views of the White Rumped & Pectoral Sandpiper Tons of other good stuff around including Bittern Beardies Dartfords & Stone Curlew Great to see lots of kids getting into birding there can’t imagine having WR Sand on my list as a kid!

Stopped in for the 2 Bean Geese at Eldernell. Would have been rude not to have a quick walk along the bank at the Nene Washes & I’m glad I did! Short eared, Tawny & Barn owl along with 5 Cranes but best of all I found a Rough Legged Buzzard! Drifted over SE at 16:30 @BirdGuides

Having dipped at several sites this week, managed to locate 3 Sombre Tit! Followed later by this distant Saker Falcon, crazy watching it circle with Red-foots, showing its size. That's 182 species in 6 days, with 13 lifers! Time to fly home.

The Danube Delta was just breathtaking at every point, a total of 10hrs spent on the Delta with over 85 miles travelled through! Highly reccomend to anyone. 99 species recorded & too many highlights to list off - ebird.org/checklist/S189…

Excellent afternoon having arrived in Tulcea. Personal highlight was a pair of Levant Sprawks with chicks nearby, followed by an evening of Woodpeckers. With another 6 species seen! Upto 100sp for the trip list & a Danube Delta boat trip booked tomorrow.

Speechless... First full day of birding Romania, seeing not 1 but 2 Wallcreepers was an absolute highlight along with 3 other lifers; White-backed Woodpecker, Nutcracker & Crag Martin. Followed by 6 Woodpecker species! Oh and 17 Brown Bears!!!!!!!
