Fem-type Black Red on rooftops along Finch-Knightly Way on the Brampton Park estate (Brampton) this eve. Its call stopped me in my tracks barely a minute in to my run! Dashed back home for bins & got some quick views before continuing on my run! @CambsBirdClub
To our beloved Luna, who we said goodbye to on Saturday just 4 weeks before her 15th Birthday. Thanks for the wonderful memories you've given us. Sleep well little girl. We miss you! 💔
Adult Kittiwake at #PaxtonPits this am on Pumphouse Pit East for c30 mins until a Common Gull took a dislike to it and chased it off. Departed high NE at 12:03. Distant views as this record shot suggests! Also 3 GWE and 3 Raven over. @CambsBirdClub
G N Diver still Pumphouse Pit East at #PaxtonPits this pm, plus hunting Short-eared Owl. Drake Fudge-type hybrid still (same bird as at Brampton recently), displaying to some of the 132 Pochard it was associating with. This Kingfisher was showing very nicely too. @CambsBirdClub
Poor record shot of a juv Great Northern Diver on Pumphouse Pit East at #PaxtonPits this morning. A nice local find for @AndrewDWTongue. Also GWE, 2 Marsh Harrier & 3 Green Sands. @CambsBirdClub
Redhead Red-br Merg on Pumphouse Pit East at #PaxtonPits this afternoon (hanging out with a group of Tufties), although mostly fairly distant. Perhaps the bird seen at @GrafhamWater1 yesterday. Also 2 Stonechat (male and female). @CambsBirdClub
…(although was distant then).
A Cattle Egret in cow-fields at south end of Diddington village yesterday had also been seen at Paxton Pits on Friday. @CambsBirdClub
