Something to consider when looking at your own motivations / desires / drives. I will often see people talk about ‘lacking motivation’ You only ‘lack motivation’ because you have never been intentional about the thing it is which you lack motivation for. Our self talk, beliefs, values, and the promises we make to ourselves, when genuine, become the bedrock and foundation through which we present ourselves to the world through our behavior. So the next time you wonder ‘why do I lack motivation for this thing’ try to connect with the parts of yourself that are speaking and hear what they have to say. You may discover that you promised yourself this very thing years or decades ago, and are only just discovering how true those statements you made to yourself back then were. Everyone becomes what they ultimately believe they are.
