Jesse Pollak and Coinbase Ventures are on the verge of completely ruining base and alienating anyone left here. You might be wondering why this is, it's honestly as simple as every tale in human history... Greed. Simply put, Jesse Pollak and now Wilson Cusak have a mandate from daddy Coinbase to push $ZORA at all costs. Despite being very late to the creator content market, they likely saw the success of $PUMP and felt now was the time to apply gas. Coinbase ventures participated in the 2m seed round of Zora, and then later in a 50m venture round valued at 600m. You see, this mandate from up high is simply about making money, it has absolutely nothing to do with changing shit. If they truly cared about content creator tokens and launchpads they would have fully backed Virtuals, but they didn't. Instead they have shoved Zora down everyone's throats in a desperate attempt to recap their investment. As of right now, their investment is likely down, and at FDV it's barely above break even. From everything I've heard via top builders and influencers in base, Jesse and co will absolutely not stop pushing Zora under any circumstances. But just understand, the upfront message they're preaching is absolute bullshit. This is just a money grab, nothing more.
