The Eras Tour was announced 1 month after I finished cancer treatment. It felt like the perfect reward to celebrate being ‘done’ with this shitty chapter of my life. No one really talks about the difficulty of getting ‘back to normal’ after cancer. For some, it will never truly feel over. Despite months of clear scans, my anxiety continued to skyrocket thinking about a possible recurrence. I needed something else, something bigger, to refocus my energy on—I needed the Eras Tour. Instead of worrying about scans or lab results, I could focus on friendship bracelets and rhinestones. Instead of agonizing over hair regrowth, I could watch livestreams and learn choreography. From November 2022-December 2024, Eras Tour became my entire personality and helped to guide me out of a psychological tailspin.
