@InvestorOfJAMMU I did slightly different, instead of options buy, I sold put option. My view also is bullish but at the same time theta decay also contributed in profit. Both of us view is same (Bullish) but strategy is different.

Years of staring at screens gave me wealth. They also gave me L4-S1 disc bulge and Grade III disc dehydration. Sitting 8 hours a day, monitoring markets, running analysis, optimizing strategies. The posture is the last thing on your mind when you are trading. I got lucky in one way. Clean eating and consistent workouts kept me out of the obese category. When you are fit, your body fights back faster. Recovery that takes years for some people, your body handles in months. But I still got here. What you do to your body in your 30s is not something you feel immediately. You feel it when you enter your 40s, and by then the damage is already done. The spine does not send you warning emails. It just quietly wears out. No amount of profit justifies a life where you cannot walk without pain, sit without discomfort, or sleep through the night. We spend our health to build our wealth. Then we spend our wealth to rebuild our health. If you haven’t focused on your health yet, start today.

I was a Dairy Milk Chocolate fan but 3 years back when I checked its ingredients, I was shocked to see that it has 60g Sugar per 100g. It was nothing but a sugar bar. WHO recommended daily sugar limit of 25g. One chocolate was feeding 2x sugar. That was my last day of eating chocolates🚫

@Akshat_World Point 5, cash secured put is a myth, you may get peanut while selling options but loss is very high. You may win 11 trade but the loss of one trade will take your capital as well. Instead keep some cash aside when market down allocate.

1) Invest for long-term. This takes care of "time in the market" 2) Invest more when valuations are fair (eg. now). This takes care of "timing the market" 3) If your portfolio has high Beta, you need to keep cash on the sideline to manage risk 4) Point #3 is especially relevant if you can't hedge using options 5) It also makes sense to "sell" put options on high quality stocks (that you wish to own). These are called as cash secured puts If they get assigned you are lowering your cost of acquisition. If these don't get assigned, you are again lowering your cost basis on existing stocks Either way you are fine. 6) Who does all this? Almost every single big ticket investor, hedge funds, PE funds etc. Who keeps investing at whatever levels? People who don't know point 1 to 6. And, are too lazy to learn anything new. Investing for long-term is NOT: closing your eyes and buying at whatever levels religiously. It is not "discipline", it is marketing.

@ETMONEY Provide clarity. But future contract is zero sum gave every buy there should be seller. If AMC buy contracts, volume goes high, who will be the future seller such a huge volume in India?

You’ve most likely seen this headline: “HDFC Gold ETF may invest up to 50% in DERIVATIVES.” But does that mean Gold ETFs will now only hold 50% in physical gold? Not exactly. Here’s what most people missed about this big update. A 🧵

Started investing in 2016 with mutual funds. Later moved heavily into stocks, almost 80% of my portfolio. But over time, work and family took priority. Didn't have the same time to track and analyse stocks. And mutual fund returns were still decent. So I shifted back gradually. Today, around 70% is in mutual funds. For most working professionals, mutual funds make more sense. Anyone with a similar story? 🤔

@InvestorOfJAMMU Covered call strategy looks lucrative but if u get stuck entire upside potential gain of your investment will be wiped out. Market can swing any time based on news. Don't mix investment with trading. This can be done only in trading mindset with proper position sizing.

At 25 Vix, I keep shorting CE of my holdings. Even if stock goes up 5% from here, I gain in holdings but do not lose much in Option CE as Vix will go to half. Decay always help when Vix is high, as you have lot of room for decay.

@InvestRepeat Future contact is zero sum game. Every buyer there should be seller. If 50% of AUM is future contract buy means who is seller here? Who has this much amount to short to position. Without physical gold doing all this drama going to backwire

Thoughts on Gold ETFs: > Seems like Govt may be unhappy with trade deficit caused by gold. And ETFs want to reduce gold imports. > This may reduce Gold ETFs fees as they don’t need to spend money to store physically in a bunker. > Bad for overall ‘real’ gold price as buying ETFs which holds 50% derivatives means lessing buying pressure on physical (which is limited). Derivatives can be unlimited and generates no buying pressure in real gold market. Also don’t jump from one gold ETF to another at this point. HDFC making this change means, maybe all or most gold ETFs might make this change. We don’t know yet, I will keep an eye on AMC filings.
Save Invest Repeat 📈@InvestRepeat

🚨 HDFC Gold ETF may hold gold derivatives instead of physical gold. As per their updated SID, HDFC ‘may’ hold upto 50% of AUM in gold derivatives like ETCDs (futures contract)

@T_Investor_ Don't invest silver, its commodity. This is not a central bank reserve. Only gold is hedge for inflation in long term, central bank also buy gold for alternative to Dollar reserve.
