if you are building around prediction markets then user acquisition is probably your hardest problem right now none of what you've built matters if you're fighting six other platforms for the same 50,000 active traders the platforms winning user acquisition in prediction markets aren't running ad campaigns or paying kols, they're piggybacking on existing user bases: > robinhood rolled event trading into its brokerage app and ark estimates $300m in recurring revenue already. (no new users needed, just a new tab for millions of existing traders) > coinbase straight up acquired a prediction market startup to bolt onto its exchange > metamask integrated polymarket directly into its wallet > trust wallet added prediction features to 220m users overnight the pattern is obvious: the winners aren't acquiring users, they're borrowing them from somewhere else standalone prediction markets are fighting over the same small pool of crypto-native traders the platforms with real distribution are just adding a prediction tab to apps people already use every day distribution is the moat.
