It’s true! In some ways this feels weird — we’re a far cry from the early crypto days in which it felt like we were pioneering the Wild West frontier. But it was always inevitable that if crypto was to succeed, we’d end up becoming the suits. For crypto to realize its maximum potential (catering to all kinds of people everywhere!) we need it to be fully integrated with the rest of the financial system.

Today we’re launching PLINKS, the second game in the @ripsapp ecosystem. Now live as a mini app on @baseapp and @farcaster_xyz . Why are we building this? Because as millions of assets come onchain, discovery and curation become more important than ever. We believe gaming can be one of the strongest discovery mechanisms for onchain assets, especially when built around what crypto uniquely enables: composability, player-owned assets, native secondary markets, and shared economies. Our first game, RIPS, proved the demand. It has already processed over $2M USDC in pack sales and continues to grow with strong retention. That capital has circulated across the Farcaster and BASE ecosystems, buying tokens, generating fees, and driving activity for founders, creators, and coin holders. What’s becoming clear is that we’re not just building games, we’re also building a powerful new token distribution network, where gameplay becomes the mechanism for discovery, engagement, and utility. Now we’re building on that foundation with our latest mini app PLINKS, a new way to discover and earn curated tokens across the Base ecosystem. And this is only step two. The goal was never just one game. It was always to build the platform powering them, one that can eventually let anyone, from humans to agents, launch tokenized games across the network. We all agree there's a certain thrill in beating an opponent, especially when playing mobile games with friends and family. 😅
There has to be some sort of bragging to know who the winner really is, lol! And that's where the in-game chat comes in. 🙂
That being said, If there's one feature I love in @LegendBaseETH, it’s the in-game chat. This feature allows you to communicate with friends, share tips, and discuss strategy in real-time. I haven't seen this integrated so smoothly in many Web3 games, and it’s all thanks to @Uptopia_xyz.
But it doesn't stop there. The developers are currently working on a multiplayer mode, which will let players fight other opponents and win the spoils of war. 🔥
NGL, it’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about an update! The Arena mode in legend of base is a game-changer because multiplayer is still so rare in the Web3 space. Look around, and you will find this to be true.
Legend of Base is already killing it in solo mode, and it’s only going to get better. If you’re looking for a project where you can actually connect with others and have fun, you definitely need to check this out.
For those who do not know what this game is all about, Legend of Base is an onchain roguelike RPG built on @base.
