Called on Hon’ble Minister of Road, Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, and discussed various road infrastructure projects in Ladakh - particularly the progress of Zoji La tunnel, upgradation of NH-3 in Leh city, construction of Leh Bypass and pending road projects under Central Road Infrastructure Fund. Hon’ble Minister informed that the breakthrough of Zoji La is likely to be achieved by the last week of May. Once completed, it will connect Ladakh with rest of India, throughout the year. He also directed the concerned officials to expedite clearance of all pending road and other infrastructure projects and ensure their completion in a time-bound manner. These road infra projects would significantly improve connectivity and safety in the region, thereby, promoting tourism, trade and economic growth and creating sustainable local employment in Ladakh.

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh @lg_ladakh, Vinai Kumar Saxena, during his maiden visit to Kargil, visited Jamiat Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil and held a detailed interaction with religious scholars, community leaders and representatives of civil society. The Lieutenant Governor was accorded a warm and enthusiastic reception by the students of Jaffaria Academy of Modern Education @JAME_Kargil and the people of Kargil, led by President @JUIAK_Ladakh Sheikh @NazirMehdi_ Mohammadi, along with members of the Ulama Council, executive members and representatives of various social organisations. The Sikh community of Kargil has generously contributed an amount of ₹50,000 as humanitarian assistance, expressing their deep sympathy and unwavering solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran during this critical time.
