Tottenham Hotspur’s board has to show some backbone in the upcoming weeks in the transfer market and refuse the sale of Djed Spence. No chance you can find a competitive backup/starter of this level that is homegrown for cheap in this market. Plus the way he is gonna start performing after this World Cup, it would be completely lunatic selling him.

Don't have too much to say about the Bundesliga TV deal, but: I get that free games may get viewership up, but if you want to attract the average American... Nobody's hopping on Fandango to check what games are on today. People would on ESPN. This is a step back. #Bundesliga

@markelias @ProspectsUsmnt I used to think that the championship was light years ahead but I would agree that’s they are on par. The bottom of the MLS is mopping the floor with the bottom of the championship.

@ProspectsUsmnt A lot of people (managers, ex pros, current pros) have said the championship is on par with MLS, but you know getting a player to Europe and thriving is viewed differently than thriving in MLS from both other leagues and our incredibly finicky fanbase

I’m really not loving this movement of American players joining the Championship en masse. Go to Italy, Spain, France, Germany instead if you’re not EPL quality yet. Anyway, this is an upgrade over staying in MLS IMO. Now need to see Freese and Berhalter get moves this window.

If Djed was playing for Villa, and won the Europa League there, and got an England call up, and went on to put on the performances he has recently, Tottenham would be looking to sign him and fans would be hyped about the possibility of signing him as competition for both left back and right back..... So why the f*ck would you want to sell him when the guys on our books??? You keep Djed at all costs! Simple as that! Hes no longer a club signing, hes a club icon!

To me the biggest thing that would help US Soccer is a separation of MLS and the US Soccer Federation. US Soccer should be focused on development and growing the game, not MLS’s interests, not killing US Open Cup, but creating an open system where MLS and USL work together.
