I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. I’m 36 already and this is something my family worked hard to leave me. I’m torn between wanting to build a life together and feeling like I’m being pressured to give up something important to me. @ClayTravis All of these have played a part, but I think the main culprit is load management. The NBA is the one sport where you regularly wonder: "Is fill-in-the-blank star player actually injured, or is he just taking the night off?" Because of this, we're all less inclined to care. 🙄

@SlopHq So true. Here in Philly, all three stadiums are right next to eachother, it's called "the sports complex." The area is absolutely lifeless when none of the four teams are playing. And, when multiple teams are playing at home on the same day, it's total gridlock. 🙄

@GPhilly120 I for one will miss it. It looked cool and it was actually nice to be able to simply look up at it to get the time, rather than checking your watch or phone constantly. I gotta admit, I never knew it was an homage to Connie Mack Stadium, though. 🕛

@FranzkeLA I gotta admit, I never knew that clock was an homage to Connie Mack Stadium, but I always liked it. And, yes, it was nice to be able to simply look up at it to check the time rather than looking down at a watch or phone. I for one will miss it. 😢

@camerooned_ The Flyers just did "Dollar Dog Night" last night. There, they put the hot dog in a cardboard container, they don't wrap them up in tinfoil. Just wrapping them up in tinfoil is what makes idiot fans decide it's okay to throw them. 🤦‍♂️

i think part of the phillies refusal to do dollar dogs anymore is the fact that the stadium is cashless and they don’t want to get hit with the credit card fees on so many tiny transactions

Their winning record is a facade, especially when you notice how few regulation wins they have. It's fool's gold. 😒

@_kyle_frey NLCS Games 6 & 7 are right up there with the Eagles losing the 2002 NFC Championship in the final game of The Vet when it comes to the most stunning/devastating losses of my Philly sports fandom; I'm 42. Remember, they were 6-0 at CBP in the playoffs before those two games. 🤦‍♂️

As the Connie Mack Stadium guy this is existentially upsetting for me. Sometimes I don’t want to have to look at my phone to see what time it is. I like being able to disappear from the digital world for a few hours during a baseball game. Sue me.

@BGoldsteinPSR Another downgrade. With the exception of the removal of the out-of-town scoreboard, the worst thing to happen to the outfield walls was those orange "ASPLUNDH" metal fence covers being placed at the top of the walls. What an eyesore. 🙄

@trishadelphia The only other Opening Day I went to was way back when I was 10 years old in 1994 at Veterans Stadium. My grandfather won two tickets for the game through a drawing that the Inquirer did; the Phillies unveiled the 1993 National League Champions banner. ⚾️

@trishadelphia Because of the high ticket prices and the more-often-than-not bad weather, I've never bothered going to an Opening Day at CBP. 🤷‍♂️ However, I did do Opening Day in Washington, D.C. in 2010 when Roy Halladay made his Phillies debut. That was awesome. 😀
