Property taxes are out of control. Families are getting ripped off as counties like Wake and Cabarrus rake in billions more than inflation and population growth warrant. It’s time for REAL reform. Levy limits will stop runaway property tax hikes and protect NC taxpayers.

This is not really accurate. The @NCHouseGOP spearheaded teacher pay raises that led the nation multiple times in the 2010s. Teacher pay was absolutely abysmal under Democrat control. #ncpol

Since 2015, the average property tax bill in Wendell (Wake County) went up 143%. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Cumulative inflation during the same time period was 34%. Small businesses can’t afford rent, seniors are having to choose between their prescription drugs and paying property taxes on their home, and young families can’t afford to buy a house. Time for the state to get involved. #ncpol
