They both stopped doing that because Sony basically dropped the equivalent of a nuke in the console wars on em’ both with the PlayStation and pretty much forced Nintendo and Sega to team up after it blew up Sega’s presence as a home console manufacturer!

@Getlucky12341 Should’ve been Brothership instead of Hotel Mario, it’s endgame is one of the best Mario stories (ironically people bitched about it having the opposite problem from the movies and feel the pacing is too slow and the story take too long to get going)!
