He "balanced" the budget by raiding $304 million from our Rainy Day Fund to cover a $646 million deficit. Pillen promised a 40% property tax cut but delivered a legislative stalemate. He’s taking credit for "growing the Good Life" while Nebraskans continue to flee for states with better opportunities and lower costs. The result is clear: We are burning our reserves, losing our talent, and paying for the privilege. Nebraskans are sacrificing their financial security, their children's educational future, and their hard-earned savings. It is time to stop accepting political platitudes and demand better.
