10/n ...was ICPP. Once again, theoretically rigorous (paper in ArXiV). It was meant to prove two things: that privacy/anonymity is FEASIBLE ON ICP even for its native token (ICP proper). But also, it was meant to pave the way for the same on Nebula, making it the FIRST coin...

Looks like the $ICP ckUSDC wallet has also been unfrozen. Maybe someone can confirm? @zachxbt Had strong words for the judge that forze these accounts. Maybe @dfinity could chime in? Also how can you stop this from happening again? This is a pretty big deal. I think a native Stable Coin needs to be made now. @dominic_w

@PierreSamaties @Milan78Nuclear @dominic_w Since mid-2024 we've pushed the idea of a native stabilized coin on ICP. The ICP tech stack offers unique opportunities. Then we proved privacy/anonymity is possible natively on ICP (at par with other privacy coins). All rigorously developed, from the maths up. But 🤷‍♂️

@PierreSamaties @Milan78Nuclear We proposed Nebula on ICP. Developed the POC. Demonstrated its formal theoretical rigor (hey, 62 pages of deep maths don't lie). Developed ICPP as POC on ICP (as testbed for ultimately enabling privacy on Nebula). But DFINITY seems not to care, regrettably. @dominic_w

AI and privacy. ICP has AI (at least a way of doing AI) and we have developed privacy via ICPP. At transaction level on the ledger. The "privacy" that's key for DeFi. Not tomorrow, but NOW. The only tech stack with ephemerality baked in. @dominic_w @PierreSamaties

@neuralunlock @dara_venture It is far more involved than what you make it look like, but yep, the tech is there. Our ICPP anonymity tunnel uses functional encryption plus RDMPF. That's just one case, but "wholesale" expansion of the tech is not easy and not going to be quick. @PierreSamaties @dominic_w

The more I learn about Arcium, the more I am blown away by the potential of encrypted compute. We’re at a point in crypto where we need to expand the application design space. Where we have formidable new primitives, but we need the net new applications to take this space to the next level. With the Confidential SPL (C-SPL) token, Arcium will make it possible to have encrypted capital markets at scale. You are now able to implement exciting primitives like private lending and confidential staking. You can even utilize dark pools (where the order book is hidden), preventing front-running and toxic MEV. The utility here is endless. We see this with the rich ecosystem of applications utilizing Arcium’s technology. For example, @UmbraPrivacy is a wallet that enables users to privately swap and send transactions with seamless UX. Think Phantom but private. Arcium is also incubating new applications, including @craftsdev, @benchdotgames, @epochdotm, and @undesk_trade, all of which have won prizes in the Solana privacy hackathon. And the brilliance of encrypted compute extends well beyond crypto. We have the opportunity to bring the world onchain with innovative use cases. In healthcare, biopharma can run clinical trials on encrypted patient data to discover innovative therapies for rare disease conditions. In defense, the military can use commercial AI models without revealing sensitive mission data. These are very real needs that will allow the world to come onchain and utilize blockchain technology. This is exactly what this industry has been building for.
