Lane Kiffin not talk about Ole Miss Mission Impossible And 0% chance he beats Georgia
On3@On3

NEW: Lane Kiffin to @whalexander_ on not coaching Ole Miss in the CFP after taking the LSU job: “Obviously, I wish the timing was different. There was no way around it. Tried to do everything possible to still coach and, obviously, that was (athletic director Keith Carter’s) decision and understandable. Do I still wish that had happened? Yeah, I do. I wish that would have been allowed to happen. Maybe we would have won it all.” on3.com/news/lane-kiff…

Lane keeps taking his childish shots at Ole Miss, but the data doesn’t back him up. Black student % in the SEC: Mississippi State: No. 2 Ole Miss: No. 4 Ole Miss ranks ahead of 12 SEC schools. State ranks ahead of 14. Pretending we aren’t diverse is disingenuous at best.

@Ferncreeklodge Ole Miss was an established team, there was no NIL and portal then gutting team rosters and being forced to rebuild.

On3@On3

NEW: Lane Kiffin explains to @whalexander_ his decision to leave Ole Miss for LSU — and why time will prove he made the right choice: "It'll show in Year 2, 3. It's going to show that we have the same systems, we have all this stuff and we brought it here, and combined it with the branding of LSU and the ability to sign elite high school (players). That will show. It may not be next year, but this wasn’t a one-year decision." Story: on3.com/news/lane-kiff…

@run4donuts90 8-4 is falling flat with only 10 returning players and 8 starters? Having to get 40 players from the portal and 20 from the high school signing class? You’re expected to win it all with a completely new team, basically an expansion team? In year one? Stop being a moron.

@OleMissRebel90 The fallout, if he has a say 8-4 season will be studded in financial classes. 90 mil guaranteed and 40+ mil roster just to fall flat possibly. Also, just the crash out if they lose to Clemson in their opener. Inject that in to my veins.

LSU wasn’t named after the animal "Tigers." They are actually named after the “Louisiana Tigers”, a particularly brutal brigade of rebel soldiers in the Civil War who also slaughtered hundreds of freed black men in the New Orleans Massacre 1866.

@CFBHome You might want to retract that lie you posted. One the Louisiana Tigers regiment was disbanded in 1864 from the number of casualties sustained and the survivors relocated to other units. Two the Louisiana Tigers predated the civil war.

@RiverRanchBaw Please explain how it’s awkward. You really trying to compare LSU taking the nickname of a regiment unit to Ole Miss who had the confederate flag as its logo for decades and still has its mascot Col. Reb? 🤣

@sip_central He’s not upset, he’s stating a fact, the only ones upset of people like you who do not wish to face the facts. 15 years is nothing. You still have many people from the 50s-70s raising these kids today that will never let go of what they delt with during that time.

Some issues with the Lane statements on Ole Miss: 1. Mississippi actually changed its flag to remove the confederate imagery while he was coach here. 2. Colonel Reb was removed from the school and the sidelines 23 years ago. 3. Ole Miss recruits extremely well for its size.

Everything Ole Miss
Everything Ole Miss@EverythingRebs·
I shouldn’t give this the time of day, but really comical seeing a coach tear down a university that saved his career and family life. Since @VanityFair missed this piece of information, I’ll include it: Lane Kiffin got upset when Ole Miss didn’t let him coach the playoffs. Since he’s never been told no in his lifetime, he got angry and tried to burn the place to the ground because he didn’t get his way. This was after he was sending his family on trips to rival schools in the middle of a 11-1 season. Not to mention, he never believed Ole Miss would beat Georgia in the playoffs. That was the cherry on top.
VANITY FAIR@VanityFair

Lane Kiffin is one of the most controversial and fiercely hated coaches in college football, following his shocking departure from Ole Miss for a $91 million contract at LSU. “No coach I talked to at any point ever said, ‘stay there.’” Kiffin says. “You got one life” vanityfair.com/news/story/lan…
