We'd like to give a special mention to Anna @EatSleepCycle who is currently cycling LEJOG in memory of her friend, Tim McKenna who lost his battle with mental health.

@HandbookWidows I have been married twice and lost both wives to cancer. I don't move on, but I do move forward. Wistfulness is a good word. And when I feel wistful, I walk in the Shropshire hills and remember Victoria and Bridget

Ticks can carry the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. It's important to be aware of them and safely remove them as soon as possible. If you are removing a tick, do not twist or jerk it, this may cause it to break, or spit out disease-causing fluids into the bite.

We don't take health seriously. We don't care. We are digging our graves with our teeth. Big food and UK government don't care. Diabetes now available as a meal deal. @tesconews @DoctorChrisVT

You shouldn’t need a driveway to own an electric car. My Plan for Change is boosting funding for infrastructure to allow cables to run safely beneath pavements. That’s cheaper, at home charging – putting money back in the pockets of working people.

What should your movement targets be for this week? How about aiming for just a few minutes more per waking hour than ladt week. Every little helps. #movement #movemore #keepmoving #healthspan

@BlackM1710 @BBCr4today I absolutely get that you, like many have serious unavoidable health conditions. However many other people do suffer from reversible and avoidable lifestyle conditions.

@NedClatter @BBCr4today Before I got #LongCovid, my daily step count often in excess of 20,000. Since then, many many days less than 1,000, down to less than 300 some days. It wasn’t a sedentary lifestyle that caused the issues of 3Million ppl in the uk, many from health and education backgrounds

“We do have a sick nation, there’s no doubt” The NHS issued 11 million sick notes last year - double the number a decade ago. Professor Kamila Hawthorne, Chair of the Royal College of GPs, tells #R4Today that the amount of chronic illness they see has gone up dramatically.

Junk food companies are doubling down on sport sponsorship to avoid the upcoming (and much delayed due to lobbying) ban on HFSS advertising before 9pm on TV. Our kids’ heroes are advertising Hula Hoops, Redbull and Kit Kats while obesity prevalence in UK children is one of the highest in the world. Super investigation by the @BMJLatest which highlights that this isn’t just obviously harmful - we have lots of evidence that this sort of sponsorship gives junk food firms a ‘health halo effect’ by making their products seem more acceptable and less harmful to consumers. bmj.com/content/390/bm… I know many athletes and teams really do their best to avoid this but we need mandatory regulation just as we have for cigarettes. Sport will survive and thrive without making the players push junk food onto the next generation. Do join the campaigns to kick big soda out of sport if you agree kickbigsodaout.org
