@ChronoOnceMore I agree in those cases that it’s ass, but batman killing is something I do want him to edge towards in the extreme scenarios where his son dies or is close to it. I think there are some good stories where that does happen

@NeedSomeTags Anytime I’ve seen Batman break his rule it ends 2 ways it’s either never brought up again and Bruce just doesn’t care and goes back to pretending he didn’t do it or the comic/show/movie just ends which cop out as fuuuuuck

@ChronoOnceMore Soon after jason. Bruce crashes and vows to kill the dude who killed his son no matter what, since he failed to do so before and has let this happen again. He kills the guy as a result of his son dying, and I think that’s something he should always carry within him, same as dick

@ChronoOnceMore It’s not like he was debating on it he just crashed and was willing to go through with it. Only being stopped because other people intervened, not because he decided not to during the fact. For example in one comic (though it was an au) bruce lost his shit due to tim dying -

@ChronoOnceMore He’s also just a lot more interesting when you have that struggle with the rule, since he’s still only human and has that twisted relationship with justice and saving everyone. Plus the robins are the most important thing to him and the source of why he crashes a lot

@ChronoOnceMore Bruce in the comics does struggle several times over the no kill rule and has contemplated breaking it, and has tried to at several points within his runs. Almost killed Lex because Dick could die, almost killed joker at several points, holiday killer for harvey etc

@ChronoOnceMore He’s done the same to joker as he did to kgbeast and left him for dead before, after the death of Jason. He’s at several points comtenplated killing joker and has nearly done it, being stopped by other people in those situations like gordon and shit

@NeedSomeTags Joker can paralyze Barbra and nearly kill himself and his family 100x over but this guy shoots at Dick once and he just lets him die

@ChronoOnceMore Valid enough point in other scenarios, but in this the dude shot and almost killed Dick. Bruce should and will break his rule if it ended up costing him sons life, but because of his nature he just does a work around and leaves him for death instead of doin it himself

@476_MN I guess can differentiate it as Peter being more willing and accepting that he had to kill someone like he did venom in that one run and with fisk, vs with Bruce being pushed to a near breaking point and risking his sense of self afterwards

@476_MN Actually lowkey mid thought process I think I still would have them in the same tier. Bruce has been pushed to that limit before with him threatning to kill lex over dicks possible death, several times with joker atp, and holiday killer over harvey. Also darkseid shit

Tried my hand at this topic (ignore the shitty presentation and app refusing to make the fonts match.) Definitely think there's a lot of nuance and depth that goes into a character's view on lives and the ideology that determines their stance on killing/saving as a whole.
