@TotalCopeMove @SecDuffy lol. Fuel costs just shortened the inevitable. Spirit had 2 bankruptcies after Democrats blocked the merger, and dealt with even higher fuel prices. This isn’t the current admins fault. Spirit was mismanaged which caused the need for the merger.

@SecDuffy It was because of fuel costs, Sean. Plus you are literally the Transportation Secretary. You could have allowed the merger to happen during this admin, if they wanted to do it again.

Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.

Not Funny I don’t usually get involved in commenting on late night comedy but I have to agree a joke by Jimmy Kimmel about an “expectant widow” is in poor taste. Regardless of what happened after the joke, which compounded by what happened, the whole idea of it is a bad idea. Who jokes about someone wishing the 1st lady become a widow and by inference that the president would be dead? His explanation that it was about age differences does not cut it. He is implying that she is wishing him dead and while a humorist can and often will say and do outrageous things, this has no redeeming social value. It’s not even funny.
