So many of you have kindly asked about F. Isabelle just loved to be with him, and we spent equal time listening to the bickering and the giggling. He is missing his best friend & beloved sister so much, but he is coping remarkably well. I wish I could take away the pain for him.

We are devastated to say that our beautiful Isabelle died in the early hours of this morning. We are absolutely broken. However, we want you all not to think of her death, but to honour her by living life as she did: fearlessly, joyously & spontaneously.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and well wishes yesterday, I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for them all. I had an agonising 4 hour wait at The Christie, but my Oncologist was just brilliant. Here’s a quick update. ❤️

Sitting in Christie’s waiting for a blood test. Need to make sure my blood is clotting properly ahead of tomorrow’s liver biopsy. I’m not going to lie, I’m not looking forward to tomorrow, but I know is I just need to man up as usual! 😬😖😩🤞🏻

A little insight into my life as a head & neck cancer patient. It took me 28 minutes to eat one small sandwich today. It's hard work and exhausting. It means I have to plan when to eat, what to eat and where to eat as I often choke and so eating in public places can put extra pressure on me. I've not eaten without choking for 14 years now, and it's hugely demoralising and massively challenging. I mostly rely on soft foods and somehow get by. I was, however, 3 stones heavier than my current weight and could pack a punch. Now, I struggle to pack my lunch! This is not a moan, just a small window into life with this horrible cancer.

My beautiful grandmother got married at the age of 87 today, and her story is a wonderful one, so I thought I’d take a moment to share it with all of you… 87 years ago, two people were born in Allentown, Pennsylvania…one of them was named Elaine and the other was named Roland. They met in middle school and went through high school together, and unbeknownst to one another, they were each other’s first big crush. My grandmother was a cheerleader and Roland was a star athlete, but as life would have it, they went their separate ways, and both went on to raise wonderful families and have beautiful children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. Rollie went on to play professional baseball and be a successful businessman, and Elaine went on to work for our local newspaper until she retired. But again, as life would have it, they both found themselves single in their later years, and were sure they’d spend the rest of their days that way. But as LUCK, or maybe something else, would have it, they both attended their 50th high school reunion, and spent the night talking and catching up and reminiscing about old times. A few months later, Rollie wrote my grandmother a letter, and asked if she’d like to continue that conversation, and that night they spent 5 hours on the phone until they both fell asleep. A few months after that, he asked if she’d like to come visit him in Miami, and my grandmother never left. Now this is undeniably a beautiful story, but it’s even more beautiful if you know my grandmother, who is a remarkable woman. She’s strong and sweet and wise and kind…a pattern-breaker and a trailblazer, and she sacrificed every bit of herself to make sure that our family had what we needed and got where we were supposed to go. Truthfully, I didn’t think this world had built somebody who truly deserved her, but that all changed the moment I met Rollie and his family. Happy endings are great, but happy beginnings are better, and this is the happiest beginning I’ve ever been witness to. I love you, grandma, and nobody deserves a man like Roland more than you, and I hope every day you spend together is more wonderful than the last.

@kate_rackham Felt really awful to think she was not even ready to speak about it let alone the young children processing it . My colleague was diagnosed 2yrs ago and she is still processing everything and hasn't share anything with her children who are so young. My heart goes out to you all❤️

Devastated for Princess Kate and her family. I’ve been there, and have never known fear like it. My girls were only 3 and 4 when I was diagnosed. The thought of her being forced to share this before she and her family are ready is just awful. 💔
