@Justincred78 @Emcarthurnyc Artifacts and history are very much alive in Indigenous communities. I have no idea what you are talking about LoL Maybe the tribes will display for remembrance and pride. These items are going home to the rightful owners.

@NehGobbleGobble @Emcarthurnyc I’m talking about artifacts & history, not traditions & practices, do not get the two confused. Many of the living practices have ceased to exist due to modern conveniences & out of respect the memories must be remembered.

If you hear about the Smithsonian displaying less Native artifacts, it's not an attack on Native history.... it's bc a lot of the stuff came from Treaty 4 Cree in Canada and they asked for a lot of the stuff back and there's thousands of stuff..my mom told me

I am visiting the Smithsonian one day. Just for shits and gigs... The movie "Night at the Museum" encouraged me to do it!!

@Justincred78 @Emcarthurnyc Not entirely. Indigenous people have a way of life, and live that way of life for their own livelihoods. Those memories you speak of are living practices today.

@Emcarthurnyc A lot of the tribes also lay claim to them & want them back in a way of asserting authority. one way or another it seems they always are unintentionally erasing their memory from existence, which is very sad.
