Today I visited the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary. Jack Miner was a key figure in early bird banding. I got to see the first ever bird band recovery. Miner hand-made the band and attached it to a migratory duck in 1909. It was recovered in South Carolina in 1910. @JM_Sanctuary 🧵1/2
