Megyn Kelly: "Adelson paid Trump hundreds of millions to push the US into war with Iran." - So the war was bought. Literally purchased by a foreign donor. The lobby's money buys American blood

OTD in 1993 at 12.25 pm two bombs exploded in the centre of Warrington. Jonathan ball aged 3 was killed and 5 days later Tim Parry aged 12 died. As time moves on we must never forget the barbarity of Irish Republican terrorists and their allies on the extreme left.

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Joe Rogan on Donald Trump and the Iran War: "It just seems so insane based on what he ran on. This is why a lot of people feel betrayed. He ran on no more wars and these stupid, senseless wars. And then we have one that we can't even really clearly define why we did it."

On this day, March 16, in 1828, one of my favorite Confederate Generals, Patrick Ronayne Cleburne was born in Ovens, County Cork, Ireland. This Irish immigrant rose to become one of the Confederacy’s most brilliant generals in the American Civil War, earning the moniker “Stonewall of the West” for his tactical genius and unyielding resolve. Cleburne’s early years in Ireland were marked by hardship. Born to a Protestant Anglo-Irish family, he was orphaned young—losing his mother at 18 months and his father at 15. After failing the Trinity College medical entrance exam, he enlisted in the British Army’s 41st Regiment of Foot in 1846, serving during the Great Irish Famine. He rose to corporal but bought his discharge after three years, having witnessed famine’s devastation, including at Spike Island prison. In 1849, Cleburne emigrated to the U.S. with siblings, settling in Helena, Arkansas after a brief stint in Ohio. He thrived as a pharmacist, lawyer, and newspaper co-owner, becoming a naturalized citizen by 1860. His loyalty to the South stemmed from love for his adopted home, not slavery. When war broke out, Cleburne joined the militia as a private, swiftly rising to captain and aiding in seizing Little Rock Arsenal. Promoted to brigadier general in 1862, he shone at Shiloh, Richmond (where wounded), Perryville, and Stones River—routing Union forces and earning major general rank. At Chickamauga, his night attack broke Union lines; he held Missionary Ridge valiantly and saved the retreat at Ringgold Gap, drawing praise from Congress and Robert E. Lee, who dubbed him “a meteor shining from a clouded sky.” His life ended at Franklin on Nov. 30, 1864. Opposing Hood’s disastrous assault, he led anyway, falling sword in hand at 36. Cleburne’s story embodies immigrant grit and wartime valor.

Gaza. Flattened. Over 70,000 dead. 81% of buildings destroyed. And the plan is to replace it with a Donald Trump run corporate playpark with Tony Blair appointed to the executive board of ‘new Gaza’ - which they launched at the WEF summit in Davos. Grotesque.

The number of children reported killed in Gaza since the start of the conflict in October 2023 is estimated to have surpassed 20,000. There is absolutely no justification for this. None whatsoever.

@Amy_xo @BBCNews Anyone who doesn't want to have kids is deluded and deranged - without being ignorant to people we see it all around us now when we see people treating their dogs like kids to make up for the kids or grandkids that they don't have.
