@DeputyGrocott The best sorcery I’ve had was asking it to write a cover letter for a teaching role- bloody brilliant!

ChatGPT is great fun as well as pure sorcery! In about 5 seconds it wrote me some money word problems. I could have been more specific with my request (just had a quick go) and it would be more specific in its response. Game changer?

@mrjones_EDU I even played around with applications for senior leadership positions with my colleague today: bloody remarkable! I would share it but I might need to use it! 😂😂

So, I've been thinking a lot about #OpenAI, #ChatGPT & #DallE & my initial concerns have been replaced with genuine excitement about the positives this astonishing #ArtificialIntelligence can bring to education... Check out this *thread* with a few examples... 🧵⬇️

@Mr_P_Teaching I did the same too, remarkable! I played around with EAL commands to reduce complexity of vocabulary, again this worked wonders! What a great find; although, once the trial period ends, I’m sure there’ll be a cost added to it. #edtech #CollabUAE

ChatGPT to create a whole new dimension to teaching & education? I’ve played around with it a few times, being specific in my instructions from a upper KS2 type of text, down to a Year 2 obj and it created 2 extremely high-quality pieces of text in seconds. 🤯 #CollabUAE

@MissSDoherty I completely understand where you’re coming from. In addition, telling staff they weren’t being paid, seeing the look on their faces, knowing you uncovered nearly 2 million euros in debt was arguably one of the worst positions I’d ever been or hope to be in ever again.

Imagine being the headteacher who told their staff they wouldn’t get paid if they couldn’t get into school due to the snow today… in a cost of living crisis 🌝. Because why wouldn’t you want staff putting themselves in danger to get into school? Hideous.

@rustysmart @DBSJP_DL @GRadojkovich Thanks Russell, it is fully appreciated; I’m sure a ‘quid pro quo’ will be claimed at some point. @GRadojkovich there will be a box of baby wipes and nappies heading your way as a form of retainer. 😉😂

Looking for help…does anyone have access to ‘Iris’ video technology out here in the UAE? @rustysmart you are the tech master: any contacts or directions to signpost me towards? @GRadojkovich do any of our Taaleem schools have this technology? Thank you everyone.

@DBSJP_DL @rustysmart @GRadojkovich Do you think we could possibly borrow this device to have a ‘test’ run before we look at a potential purchase? I appreciate I’m asking a lot and happy to reciprocate in any other way. 🤞🤞#partnerships

@jpembroke @MuchAdoALJ Is that graph showing that every year the standard in writing is higher than reading? I find that hard to believe.

@rustysmart @GRadojkovich It looks pretty similar. I know with the Iris system staff wear a ‘dongle’ around their neck which allows the camera to follow, zoom in, and pick up conversations with children etc; does yours do that? Thank you.

@GRadojkovich Yes, I definitely agree with the connection, such power and meaning across the poem. My favourite line is the opening one- I can link this to leadership, parenting, and most importantly, sport! 😂

@NeilMaidment2 Classics stand because they connect and carry across generations. So it is with ‘If’, I’m not surprised it resonates. Great choice.

For an age this has been one of my favourite poems. It reminds me of the joys of challenging journeys, also that the decisions we make lead us down different paths & the need to pause & consider before choosing a way forward. It is as true in leadership as it is life. #Frost
