@HMRCcustomers I have received a message telling me I haven't filed my tax return. I haven't been self employed since 2014, and haven't filed one since. Why now ? I am employed now and PAYE is surely applicable.

There are thousands of photos of Ivan Mauger, this one doesn't get an airing very often but I love it. It's atmospheric but you can instantly see that it's him. The eyes of a champion 👀 Under the floodlights at Wembley on the way to his 4th World title in 1972 #RIPIvan 🏁

@Stephen78857051 Looks like Coventry to me. They are sat just before the starting gate. We would be to the right of that picture in the popular stand. The view through that fence was amazing.

The Romford & Rayleigh teams are all smiles coming out for the pre-meeting parade. I can spot Phil Woodcock, Dingle Brown & Geoff Maloney. However, I'm thinking someone out there will be able to name the other riders.

@Stephen78857051 In 1971 Ole failed to turn up at Brandonapolis, days after winning his first World Final. The CO said he would never be invited again. Thankfully he never remembered his threat !!!!

50 years ago today Ole Olsen made his debut for Coventry in a challenge match against Leicester. Promoter Charles Ochiltree must have been very happy with his new signing, Ole scored a maximum watched by one of Coventry's biggest crowds for some time in the Bees 44-34 win.

50 years ago today Ole Olsen signed for Coventry. The long tug of war between Coventry & Hull ended when Ian Thomas relinquished his hold on Olsen & Charles Ochiltree signed the World Champion for the Bees.

Born on January 10, 1943, in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he grew up in a working-class Italian-American family. Surrounded by a wide range of music, from opera and jazz to country and blues, he developed eclectic musical tastes from an early age. At age 15 he convinced his father to let him trade his brother's clarinet for an acoustic guitar, beginning his journey as a musician. He attended Upper Darby High School and went on to Villanova University, where he studied psychology, became deeply involved in the folk music scene, and served as a student disc jockey at the campus radio station. During this time, he met his future wife at a hootenanny band competition; they fell in love and began performing together. In 1966 he married, and for several years the duo toured colleges, bars, and coffeehouses, performing as a folk act. They recorded a 1969 album together for Capitol Records, but it did not achieve much commercial success. To support the family, he worked a variety of jobs, including truck driving, construction, teaching, and radio DJ work, while continuing to write and play music. Their son was born on September 28, 1971. In 1971 he signed with ABC Records, and his solo career began to take off. He was nominated for two Grammy Awards for the song "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," once in the categories of Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male. At the time of his death, a third album, I Got a Name, was nearly completed and was released posthumously later in 1973. It included tracks such as "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song" and "Workin' at the Car Wash Blues." Tragically, on September 20, 1973, he and several members of his touring crew died in a plane crash shortly after takeoff from Natchitoches, Louisiana. He was 30 years old. After his death, his popularity continued to grow. Photographs & Memories, his first greatest-hits collection, was released in 1974. Over his brief career, he achieved multiple chart hits and went on to sell millions of records worldwide. In recognition of his songwriting achievements, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990. Do you know who this artist is?

Wolverhampton v Coventry back in 1966. Will we ever see these two great clubs back in action? No reason why not, both tracks are still there as is the fan base.

A fabulous photo of Bob Valentine who sadly passed away yesterday aged 85. One of those riders that just went about his business beating the world's best and scoring lots of points. Thoughts are with his family and friends #RIP

I’ve seen lots of coverage today of the 50th anniversary of Concorde’s first commercial flight. I was so proud to have spent part of my working life on this magnificent aircraft. It’s as beautiful today as it was back then in 1973 when I started at RAF Fairford.
