@empire_res66190 I think you'll find Islam isn't being "taught" in UK schools. They learn about a range of traditions: Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism and non-religious world views such as Humanism.

There's been a Muslim community in this country for hundreds of years (since the 18th century) - the Lascars working for the East India Company. Social friction is a very recent thing.
