Just received some very disappointing news that the Football Budget, a game day institution, will no longer be published or available for download from this season. This was a decision made by the clubs and the WAFL. Voice your displeasure in the comments 👇

Looking forward to a big day out with this @subiacolions @LostWafl legend #ColacCupDay #Sellsy #RelivingOldTimes

@jlandsme_93 @WACA_Cricket The future looks grim for WA. The ‘boy wonders’ are not cutting it and the old brigade are faltering.

A day of wickets in the #SheffieldShield today. 15 here in Perth. The ball doing a bit, but the lack of batting application is alarming. Silk dug in and showed what can be done. Bancroft needs to go big or @WACA_Cricket are staring at a three day defeat. #SheffieldShield

@LostWafl @wafootyhub Thanks. I’ve been wondering about that for days 😂 but I would never have got that, don’t recall him
English

@wafootyhub The player on the far right is Neal Robinson formerly East Fremantle

@Onthewing5 @wafootyhub Gee, the missing guy looks a lot like Ken Ash, pictured here next to Neil Randall in my 1973 premiership photo. But he only played to 1975…

@NeilTilbrook @wafootyhub Was that at Perth oval? Mears got smashed on the half forward flank. Got up, took the free kick from the boundary and slotted it.
English

@Kojonup @wafootyhub I still can’t work it out. A couple of those players I don’t recall. A bit before your time @Kojonup
English

@RicFinlay I have been to the sixes a decade or so ago, you can not afford to take your eye off the game for fear of copping a ball in the head
English

Ground dimensions of 47 m and 53 m square of the wicket would be a minor temptation to hit the ball in the air…#HongKongSixes

@wafootyhub You don't wanna be the stepladder in a shot like that 😅. Shamed forever.

@SportsBrekky @EastPerthFC @WestCoastEagles I'll have to listen. Disappointing to lose a good player.

@RichardBarrow You did fit in a lot! Taiping is a regular stop for us for the last decade to and from Penang. Try and get up to the top of Bukit Larut next visit
English

🇲🇾 [4/4] After all that, we looped back to the old station for lunch, and I then caught the Komuter train to Ipoh, my next stop.
Taiping probably doesn’t get as much attention from foreign visitors as it should. There’s a lot to see here, especially if you’re interested in history — and even more so if you’re into trains.

🇲🇾 [1/4] I had a short stopover in Taiping on my way south, and it turned out to be a really interesting visit — I managed to fit in quite a bit before I had to move on.
While I was walking through town, Mac, a follower of my Asian Train Guide group, recognised me and kindly offered to show me around. We started at the old railway station, where we had some roti canai for breakfast. The building still has its old charm and is now partly used as a food court.
