@ISee_ysm@bennyjohnson@JDVance That's exactly what respect asks for. To love someone as a Christian and NOT call them to repentence for their sins, and conversion to the Faith, is to not be a good Christian.
@bennyjohnson@JDVance 🔥When you hope your spouse will ‘see the gospel the same way you do’ you’re no longer just making a faith statement — you’re signalling a preference for their faith to change. Respect doesn’t ask for conversion. It celebrates the other’s faith on equal footing.
The New York Times is shocked to learn that Christians believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and want our loved ones to believe in Him.
Scandalous.
This disgusting article by accuses the @JDVance of “not respecting his wife’s religious decisions” & suggesting “Hinduism was inferior” because he said he’d be happy if she embraced the Christian Gospel.
Yep, that’s literally how the Gospel works.
@NYTimes once again attacking the 2 things it hates most:
Christianity and happy marriages.
@smasher5000@xSynternal When it comes to devotional music, I don't like music that mimics modern secular music with bands and what-not. I much prefer good church choir and church organ.
@xSynternal I went to church today and for the first 23 minutes, they played three Christian songs complete with guitar, drums and keyboard. I thought it was a concert.
@TheNicholasWolf@xSynternal When I say “is this church the right fit for me?”, what I actually mean is “does this church actually follow the Bible and not what people make up in their heads about Christianity?”
@TheKristinaCook@TheNicholasWolf@xSynternal You should look into Reformed churches, the PCA, URCNA, and OPC churches are the most doctrinally sound. The evangelical and 'happy clappy' churches as we call them are shaky prospects.
@f_pitt2000@TheNicholasWolf@xSynternal For my two cents, Reformed churches, the conservative ones like the PCA and the URCNA, and the OPC (though I don't know them as well), are your best bet for doctrinally sound churches. The mega churches and what we call 'happy clappy' evangelical ones are shaky prospects.
@TheNicholasWolf@xSynternal It’s hard — I haven’t found a fit.
I want a serious church - small, simple and to the point. I’m wondering if I’ll need to move.
@blumtnskye@JimTomTurkeyLeg@JCRyle I'd suggest going to a Reformed church. The PCUSA has lost the plot, but the PCA churches I've checked still do things the right way. I don't live in the US, so I haven't been to one myself, but their core principle statements align with good Reformed churches elsewhere.
@Cardboard0G@FumingKitty@JCRyle@TheCRJonathon I've got my disagreements with the baptists on theology, but it's good to see some that have kept their heads on straight on this matter.
@BrandonFreiwald@JCRyle You should look for a reformed church. In the US they're usually called Presbyterian churches. Careful not to go to a PCUSA one, those are leftie churches with weak theology. Go to a PCA one, those are much better.
The one I went to this morning(I'm church hopping to find a good one) was almost empty. We were the youngest in there besides children. The pastor actually spoke against Charlie calling his movement ignorant and divisive. He called college kids naive. He called for us to be intelligent and humble(implying Charlie wasn't). It took everything in me not to leave. I confronted the pastor afterwards and told him Charlie is the reason I was there. Charlie is intelligent and humble and faithful. I told him I would not be back to that church because of him saying those things against Charlie.
@BrandonFreiwald@emira_kasem@JCRyle See if you can find a reformed church, in the US they usually follow the Scots mould and are called Presbyterian. Careful, though there are two main denominations in the USA, the PCUSA is liberal leftie and weak on their theology, you want a PCA one.
We tried one of those a few Sundays ago. It was a good church. Too much music for me. And it was more like a Bible study than a sermon. Which for some people is good but it wasn't for me personally. It was recommended to me on Erika's Biblein365 app. But overall I think it was a good church. Might have to go back there.
@barkingferret@eethatcher@senatormelendez@Kimberl82111287 You can see how similar the two are by how easily the socialists and fascists switched ranks. Mussolini started out an international socialist before he switched to italy's brand of ethno-socialism, fascism. Hitler did the same and switched to national socialism.
@barkingferret@eethatcher@senatormelendez@Kimberl82111287 Actually, no. Fascism by definition is left wing. It's a form of ethno socialism. It's only fundamental philosophical difference with what we today call socialism, is that it believes it should be applied to a specific ethnic demographic rather than the entire world.
If someone tells you republicans need to tone it down, that this is a time to “unite and come together”, please show them this.
Unity is not possible with people who would laugh and dance on your grave.
@BeingJWood@eethatcher@senatormelendez@Kimberl82111287 Fascism is literally a type of socialism, the German flair is quite literally socialism with an ethnic bent. Fascism and National Socialism were left wing ideologies that focused on their particular nations, rather than the whole world as international socialism does.
@Papa620251@Apocalipz_Now@shroganaw@EricLDaugh His own highschool classmate said he went left in highschool, plus he was slumming it with a trans-radical, and we also have chat logs from the groups he was in on Discord that demonstrate his leftie lunacy.
Except no right winger wants you assassinated, David Hogg.
Not only do we oppose political violence in all forms, but your takes are so dumb that silencing you would disadvantage us.
Keep it up.
@EggheadAlli@Goldendomer316@AaronKheriatyMD I'm not sure if they have jurisdiction over the medical profession, but I imagine they do. You could always make a report to OSHA.
@Goldendomer316@AaronKheriatyMD I will think about it. An incident report should do the trick & if they need further proof, I will have it. Just as long as I dont breech HIPPA & the words spoken are so egregious & inciting - I dont care. Doing the right thing is ALWAYS right.
As a physician, I imagine I am not alone in being profoundly disturbed at seeing countless nurses across the country celebrating the cold-blooded, calculated, premeditated murder of an innocent man.
