Can't quite believe what I'm seeing Apple has been forced by the UK government to remove its advanced protections which keep your messages and photos encrypted WHICH MEANS: Both the UK Government and Apple will technically have access to your most private stuff (in the UK....but that also compromises anyone who communicates with UK citizens!) The intention is presumably so that if governments suspect someone of criminal activity they can find out for sure, and to protect children from abusive behaviour, but for the vast majority of the population, to open up a backdoor like this feels like a massive violation, and a dangerous precedent to set
