@askrenal how to manage concurrent mild hungry bone/hypocalcemia and calciphylaxis?: patient with 3.5gland PTHectomy 1.5 years ago; calciphylaxis diagnosed 9mo later- on sodium thiosulphate, off Ca/vitD. Ionized calcium slowly dropping 0.86mmol/L. How to treat? Target ionized Ca?

This is important to patients. They notice when someone is absent, and we need to acknowledge that. We are working on a plan to do so respectfully in our unit, balancing privacy with compassion for those left behind.
