my stance on porn hasn't changed in years, since before I ever even started streaming porn addiction bad, I've donated to FTND in years past when Terry Crews was promoting them. I was sad to see in recent years FTND advocating for banning porn entirely and have spoken about this at length many times I also have stated many times I think hentai/cartoon porn creates another layer of separation that should, in a functioning adult, make it easier to understand porn is fiction people should be adults and practice moderation in their habits so an addiction doesn't form, and then they're unable to perform with a real fleshy significant other I'm gonna hit mythical levels of misinformation about me at this point

sorry for the long post. after a night of sleep and some more reflection i just want to say this and be done with this conversation: yes i handled that poorly yesterday. i was genuinely overwhelmed because rev was streaming the whole time this was happening last night (and his stream was about something else entirely) and people kept getting in his chat and accusing him of being anti censorship and if he was going to address “the controversy” and it was making me stressed because i was causing him unneeded stress. i definitely don’t want to drag him into anything ever again. and so i definitely got defensive and instead of just being more clear when some people asked valid questions, i was upset that i felt people were accusing me of some things i don’t actually believe, and him too. i do realize that wasn’t everyone’s intentions though, and im sorry for assuming. i also want to apologize to katie, i am sorry, i very well could have misread things in the moment on your second reply and jumped the gun on you by blocking you, and some others as well. my responses were petty and not kind or loving so i am sorry for that. i am anti-censorship. i did end up clarifying this yesterday but i know some people want further clarification. i mentioned the prostitution laws because i do find it ironic that it’s illegal to pay a prostitute to sleep with you, but if you were to film it and call her an “actress” and pay for that, it’s legal. but that wasn’t me saying that i think censorship is the solution or that all porn should be illegal. i do think porn, specifically involving irl people, can be really predatory and exploitative, and while i do find drawn porn “sinful” i dont view it in the exact same way, this is what i was referring to about things not always being so “black and white” to me. but i am a Christian, so yes, i do believe porn is sinful. and for more clarification, i have always been under the impression that loli was not inherently sexual, its a petite fictional bodytype, but i was referring to lolicon specifically in an nsfw/porn context, so maybe there was some confusion there for some people. when i said lolicon (porn) or ANY porn for that matter is “bad”, i am speaking about it from a Christian perspective, because it is a Christian belief that all porn is bad. but that IS NOT a call for censorship or harassment over these things, people have a right to choose these things for themselves, i want to make that clear. i said it before many times and i will say it again, it isn’t CSEM and im not calling anyone a p*do over this. and this doesn’t mean i am trying to hate on you, i don’t look at you as less than, im certainly not perfect (as you have surely seen). and if you aren’t a Christian i honestly don’t expect you to agree with me anyways. we can agree to disagree if you don’t like my position of porn being sinful, but my position on it is firm. some people made some claims about “would you want me jailed for watching porn” etc and my honest answer is no, of course i wouldn’t. if im also honest, i do not personally see how we could even ban porn in the first place, it certainly feels like a pandora’s box that cannot be closed once it has been opened, and i would honestly worry about the type of government that would be able to do these things and where else it could lead to as well… but i also want to be honest and say that i am not a scholar or lawmaker, i dont have all the answers to everything and sometimes i genuinely see multiple sides to something and its hard for me to give black and white, crystal clear answers. especially on twitter.

Maybe it's because my dad is a Christian preacher, or maybe it's just that I actually know how to use context and implied information to form opinions instead of knee-jerk reacting. But the way people completely twisted Strawb's words is honestly baffling as fuck. Strawb (and @Rev_says_desu) have been completely open about their journey as Christians. It's not some hidden secret. Christianity has stood firmly against adultery, pornography, and sexual immorality since day one. That's not debatable. Just look at the verses they've referenced for years: Matthew 5:27–28: "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5, 1 Corinthians 6:18–20, Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8, Hebrews 13:4 — all of it makes it crystal clear. This isn't new theology pulled out of thin air. As an atheist/agnostic myself, I can read this shit and understand it perfectly. So how the hell is it that so many others can't? It's actually impressive how selectively dense people are being. Strawb was explicit as fuck from the very first sentence: she was talking about pornography within her faith, which, according to their own scripture (Matthew especially), counts as adultery. And she straight-up said that if you're a Christian, you should be condemning all types of porn. She wasn't calling for bans. She wasn't telling non-Christians what to do. She was speaking to other Christians, reminding them to actually follow the rules of the faith they claim to believe in. And here's the part that should be obvious to anyone with half a brain: If you're not a Christian, none of this fucking applies to you. You're not bound by it. It's not a call to censor the platform. It's not an attack on outsiders. It's internal housekeeping for believers. Same goes for Rev — he's been loud and consistent about this for a long time, and the recent drama just brought it up again. Neither of them is pushing for government-style censorship. They're just telling fellow Christians to stop half-assing their own religion. Meanwhile, I've watched bot accounts and randoms spam "Ban porn on X" and rack up massive likes with barely any pushback. But when actual Christians talk about following their own doctrine among themselves? Suddenly it's a fucking witch hunt. I said the other day I was done talking about VTubers for a while after that long-ass autistic breakdown on male vtubers… and yet here we are, less than 24 hours later, watching people prove they can only process things at the most surface-level, face-value reading possible. As someone who's strongly anti-censorship, it's genuinely insulting to watch people swarm over Strawb, Rev, @celestiumart, and other Christian creators (and recently @Bronymon_ ) like a pack of rabid animals just because they dared to practice their faith in public. My own dad — a literal Christian preacher who spends his life teaching God's law — can look at me, his bisexual, porn-consuming, defiant-as-hell son, and still love me, still take care of me, without losing his shit. He wants me to change, sure. He prays I'll find the path. But he doesn't force me. He puts the pressure where it actually belongs: on other Christians who should be following the rules. Yet here we are again — another Christian getting crucified by non-Christians for simply asking fellow believers to follow their own God's instructions. If I want to live as an atheist who believes in nothing, without being censored or forced into someone else's faith, then I also have to extend the same courtesy: let believers practice their faith among themselves without trying to shut them down or twist their words into something sinister. To bring my cortisol down a bit, I'll leave you with my favorite Rousseau quote: "One's freedom ends where another's freedom begins." Either we let everyone talk, or no one cans.

Since apparently this has to be said, my stance on censorship has not changed. No, liking loli does not make you a pedophile. No, that and other taboo fictional content should not be censored. No, you should not be harassed over fictional content even if its “weird” or “degenerate”. Yes, you should be allowed to make your own choices with the fictional content you consume. I have been very open about coming back to Christ about a year ago and I don’t want to be engaging in these subjects, specifically in covering the more explicit aspects of it, in the same manner as I used to. This is what I am comfortable with. I hope people can respect that boundary. However, it does not mean my stances have changed in a general sense. People have the right to choose what fictional content they consume personally and shouldn’t be harassed for it or certain artwork subject to censorship because of its nature. I have said nothing to the contrary. Things could have been worded more clearly from Strawb, this entire conversation seemed to stress her out a lot and she admitted to not handling it the best way, but comparing me or her to “antis” without even waiting for an explanation is jumping the gun. We have been defending people censored and harassed over these topics for years at the cost of harassment, threats, and slander directed towards us but we still don’t regret doing it. My core audience knows how I feel about all of this but I hope this clarifies some things. Thanks.
