I repeat: The U.S. sent thousands of its 19 years old soldiers to die in Normandy, to free Europe and to end the biggest crime against humanity ever commited - by Europeans. It was just 81 years ago. The whole reason, France, Benelux etc. 🇫🇷 exist today is because of this heroism. My grandparents could grow up in a liberal democracy. Without the U.S. they would be raised at the H*tler Youth. We Europeans would still be in wars again and again, like 1914, 1866, 1870, 1795 etc. They brought peace, democracy, liberty and human rights. They invested billions of U.S. Dollars into Europe with the Marshall Fund. They gave us more than we ever had in our history before. They protected us for 7 decades with hundreds of thousands of soldiers against the cruelties of the Soviet Union. The terror we can see nowadays in Donetsk, would have happened in Bavaria, Bourgogne or the Netherlands in 1950 if there wasn’t the U.S. 🇺🇸 Who do we Europeans think we are to let that nation down, act like bad allies, calling their President names every day on television - and have full confidence we stand better alone. All of instagram is just about, why we’re better than the U.S. We owe them so much. We Europeans are most arrogant species on earth. And to cure this we have to face the truth.

@Centristard @NEACETWEETS Or because the agreed upon framework of "international law" was unilaterally violated by the US, because they attacked a sovergein country. But go ahead you seem to be very knowledgeable about the topic.

Agreed. There are probably only 10 people on this entire site that are actually qualified enough to take a hard position on one side or the other. Everyone else needs to calm down. Most of the deranged loud voices are supporting the IRGC for one of two reasons. Their hatred for Trump/Conservatives or their hatred for Jews/Israel. None of it is rational. None of these people understand how little they know about what is going on.

I hate politics on social media and usually dont say anything on topics but the combination of stupid people, bots or propaganda defending the IRGC is crazy. This is a regime who will turn your internet off to murder/torture your whole street if they think you want change. The internet has been off for 37+ days overthere, and its not by choice of the US. Like where do you think the online support is coming from? Say what you want about the US, but if the US conducted itself like Iran you would be a head on a stick in under 24 hours. And I really hope everyday Iranians can find some peace soon. Because the 10000s of people that got murdered across the country by the IRGC for trying to have a better life at home would love to be flaming the US safely from their twitter accounts just like you.

The Denmark detail is the one that should stop people cold. NATO allies had to genuinely war-game shooting down American planes. Some of their military leaders still haven't fully processed having run that exercise. The most popular app in the country identified American products to avoid buying. And now Trump is demanding - his word - those same allies solve the Strait of Hormuz problem his war created. NATO invoked Article 5 once. For us. Their soldiers died in Afghanistan. He told reporters they stayed "a little back." Their governments remember that. They've drawn the conclusions and they aren't reversible.

Trump has insulted and tariffed his European allies, persuaded Denmark to prepare for a US invasion and, by pressuring Ukraine and not Russia, encouraged Putin to keep fighting. All of which he has forgotten. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/…

Asymmetrical morality is destroying Western civilization. Example: - US and Israel bomb Iran military targets - Iran attacks civilian shipping - US and Israel blamed for economic consequences - Iran barely criticised You see this over and over again. "Oh the US should have planned for this." Ok sure, but you're still allowing Iran to attack civilian targets without any sanctions. It's one thing for Iran to respond by attacking military targets, but the moment they attacked civilian infrastructure and shipping in the region the rest of the world should have condemned them and started punishing Iran. But they didn't. Total moral failure.

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

“Instead of Iran charging $2M/vessel going through the Strait, the U.S. will charge a $2M escort fee for every vessel, which is about $9B a month or $100B in revenue.” “We will waive that fee for any country that participates in the coalition to open up the Strait.” BRILLIANT!!

The riddle I’ll never be able to solve: How did the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Canada and Australia collectively decide that confronting the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism, soon-to-be nuclear Ayatollah, sitting astride the global energy chokepoint, is simply “not their war”? How did the memory, experience, philosophy and logic of a millennium of Western civilisation simply vanish? Is TDS really that deadly a mental disease? Can anyone help decipher this puzzle?

🚨🇴🇲🇸🇦🇦🇪🇮🇷 Someone just found a way around Iran's toll booth... Three tankers loaded with Saudi and Emirati crude and LNG exited the Persian Gulf today through an unconventional route hugging Oman's Musandam coastline, completely bypassing Iran's checkpoint between Larak and Qeshm islands. Satellite imagery confirmed it. No spoofing. Real ships, real cargo, real breakthrough. These are the first fully insured, sanctions-compliant supertankers to leave the Gulf since the war started on February 28th. Four million barrels of crude on two ships alone. The route tells the whole story. Oman, which has quietly maintained relationships with both Iran and the West throughout this war, appears to have brokered a safe passage corridor through its own territorial waters. Iran either agreed to let it happen or couldn't stop it. If this corridor holds, it changes the entire economic calculus of the war. Gulf states can start moving oil again without paying Iran's toll or waiting for a UN resolution that Russia and China just blocked. The chokehold that gave Tehran its strongest leverage starts loosening without a single shot being fired. Three ships is a trickle. Normal traffic is 75-85 tankers a day. But every flood starts with a trickle, and energy markets are watching these three vessels like the world depends on it. Source: @TankerTrackers, ESA Satellite Imagery

🇺🇳🇮🇷 The Gulf's plan to force Hormuz open just hit a wall at the UN Russia, China, and France blocked Bahrain's Security Council resolution authorizing military force to reopen the Strait. Three veto-wielding powers said no to any language permitting the use of force. A vote is scheduled for Friday but the math hasn't changed. Macron called Trump's "just go take it" approach "unrealistic," warning it would expose any force to Iranian coastal weapons and ballistic missiles. The most devastating line came from the International Crisis Group: "It treats a political crisis as if it can be solved at gunpoint." The Strait was open before the bombs fell. It closed because of the war. Ending the war reopens it. Everything else is theater. The deeper damage is in the relationships. Qatar and Oman, who mediated between the U.S. and Iran for years, now say ties with Tehran are "probably irreparably damaged." They've handed the mediator role to Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt entirely. Saudi Arabia, which restored diplomatic relations with Iran just three years ago through a China-brokered deal, is now leading the charge against it at the UN. Source: New York Times

Russia asks Israel and the United States to ensure a ceasefire ‌while it evacuates all Russian staff from the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran, RIA news agency reported on Thursday. 🇺🇳 The UN Security Council votes this morning on a resolution authorizing military force to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The resolution was drafted by Bahrain and has the support of Gulf Arab states. It would give countries legal cover to use force to restore free shipping through the strait. One problem: China and Russia both have veto power. The initial resolution drafted by Bahrain was revised for this reason. We’ll see what happens at 10 a.m. Source: NYT

🚨 TRUMP JUST DID WHAT NO PRESIDENT IN 40 YEARS HAD THE GUTS TO DO. AND HE DID IT ALONE. He looked at the polls. 56% disapproval. 8,000,000 protesters. Congress screaming. His own party cracking. And he launched Operation Epic Fury anyway. Let that sink in. 💀 Iran's nuclear program — DESTROYED 💀 Iran's ballistic missile stockpiles — DESTROYED 💀 Iran's navy — DESTROYED 💀 Iran's drone fleet — ELIMINATED 💀 Iran's proxy networks — CRUMBLING 💀 Supreme Leader Khamenei — GONE ⚠️ Every president since Carter kicked this can down the road ⚠️ Obama gave them $150,000,000,000 and a pathway to enrich ⚠️ Biden watched them hit 60% enrichment and froze They're showing you "reckless president starts illegal war." They're NOT showing you that Iran was 3-6 months from a functioning nuclear weapon — and NOBODY else was going to stop it. This isn't recklessness. This is the first decisive leadership America has seen in 40 years. A friend of mine who spent 22 years in military intelligence told me last week: "Every general in the building knows this had to happen. They just needed a president willing to take the heat." That's when I understood. Bookmark this. You're watching the biggest shift in Middle East security since the Camp David Accords.

🚨🚨🚨 THE US IS BEING ABANDONED ON THE HORMUZ CRISIS. IN REAL TIME. 🚨🚨🚨 China just demanded "immediate" peace and blamed the US directly. But look at who ELSE is walking away: 🇨🇳 China: Blamed the US publicly. Demanded peace. Buying discounted Iranian crude. 🇷🇺 Russia: Silent support for Iran. Rerouting energy exports to fill the gap. 🇮🇳 India: Quietly increasing Iranian oil imports through alternative payment channels. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia: No public support for the US position. Conspicuous silence. 🇦🇪 UAE: Called for "restraint from all parties." Diplomatic code for "we're not backing you." 🇪🇺 EU: Issuing statements about "dialogue." No material support for US operations. 🇧🇷 Brazil: Called for UN-led mediation. Not US-led. UN-led. That is: China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, EU, and Brazil — ALL distancing from the US position. All in a single news cycle. When this many nations distance themselves at once, it's not a disagreement. It's a collapse.

Und damit faktisch genau das gemacht, was die Kernforderung von Linke/SPD/Grüne seit 30 Jahren ist. “Man dürfe sich nicht kaputtsparen”. “Man müsse investieren”. “Xyz ist wichtiger als Geld”. Hier das Resultat: Wachstum in DE 🇩🇪 - 2023 -0,3% 📉 - 2024 -0,2% 📉 - 2025 0% - 2026 0,9% (vor Iran!) davon 0,3% wegen Feiertagen.
