@Nebraskangooner I just flew SW down to Florida and going down was fine. I could stream netflix with no issue. On the way back, streaming was choppy. I just set it to download an episode while watching an already downloaded episode and it worked out fine.

@RhysSullivan Horrible. I have standard “list” and “detail” pages for a project and wanted one created for user mgmt. i gave it other pages in the app as examples. Set a contract in agent docs to follow. Told it to use the codex playwright interactive skill to visually see. Still messed it up!

@0xSero How does it do with UI work? Codex is brutal with UI and i dont want a claude subscription (not enough bang for the buck) if i can avoid it.

I ran 5x 8 hour missions overnight on my Kimi 40$ subscription. I woke up to all of them running smoothly still, each has 20+ sessions. This model is often indistinguishable from Claude, about 5x cheaper, open weight, and their Kimi code has to be incentivized I never run out

@LLMJunky It likes to use the term “gremlin” quite a bit. I’ve seen it multiple times now in the chat app and codex.

GPT 5.4 has been out for a few days now. So, what's the verdict? How are the vibe benchmarks going? I've been traveling and havent had the chance to play with it. Just a wee bit jealous. Honest opinions? 👇

@LLMJunky @legitindie Flip of what i was thinking. Codex plans both BE/FE, Claude implement FE and Codex the rest? The $100 codex and $20 claude is where i was mentally going already, just not sure how feasible the $20 plan was for the FE work. I imagine once the FE is built, codex can triage.

you can absolutely do that but I think a lot of people find that codex is a really good planner. i actually have codex plan and implement, but outsource the UI stuff to Claude. It works very well! And in this case, you can just use the $20 plan for this. Soon, OpenAI will have $100 plans, so you could have $100 plan of each one if you want.

if codex does not fixes it frontend generation , i have to switch to claude ... as of now i am using claude for frontend then using that code to crete the rest of the platform , but now thinking of switching my 200 dollar codex plan to claud code instead ... the ui ux ia generated by codex is really bad. open ai needs to fix this ... after this .. there would be no better subsciption at 200 dollar that anyone would need ...

@LLMJunky @legitindie What i keep wondering is can you have claude write the frontend implementation plan very detailed and have codex implement it. I havent tried it but i have a feeling it wont work well.

brother, you know you can just use both right? i can make the same exact argument about claude. "claude is great at ui/ux but falls short at everything else, I'm thinking of switching..." life is not binary. models are good at different things. use them to their strengths. this argument that it needs to be this or that is noise. cheers 🍻

@carlifarley Minutes from my house and only realized it was there a few years ago. ive been here since the 2000s. Went once and wasnt compelling enough to go back. Its tucked in so out of sight outta mind. They prob do well with all the businesses around. Ever try Zuppa or Audubon North?

@nummanali You could run it on headless before by having your agent set up a couple things (Xvbf + openbox + VNC)… clunky bc you have to VNC in and login to obsidian initially, but mine runs things as a service now and i dont VNC to it at all. Works great. Ill this now though.

Obsidian is literally the perfect system for human / ai note taking The only blocker was that you required a desktop app to sync This will allow you to run obsidian on a VPS with your preferred agents Sync it back to view anywhere - already have my OpenClaw agent on it

@iamlichtman @steipete @Shpigford Yea that is what i was thinking of doing to. having it take care of scheduled/routine stuff. Definitely not my main driver though. Claude was great all around but too expensive tokenwise plus they banned using it. Codex isnt as personable but I immediately made progress over MM

I’ve been on MiniMax for a week. It’s an upgrade from free but I’m finding quickly as I get back into coding it’s kind of useless and makes me more work and headache than helps. For things like business flow and organization I’m loving it though. For $20/months I’ll likely keep it for cron/heartbeats and the general content processing stuff. Setting up Codex tonight when I get in the office to give it a whirl.

i'm in a weird spot with openclaw. it's become so buggy that i basically can't rely on it to actually complete any tasks. but thanks to its memory, it's the best chat bot i've ever used by a long shot and arguably gives far better responses than anything else i could use.
