@OrangeBubb43389 @azjustinheap @undrtow484 @BradenDisguised I am not sure I’d call it anti, as they have bring people with a bunch of perspectives. E.g. faithful LDS historian Patrick Q. Mason, the Leonard J. Harrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University Now, if you define anti as anything negative, then sure

Two institutions banned alcohol. One was the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through way of commandment from God, members of the church do not partake of alcohol. They have a firm testimony of the spiritual and temporal blessings of keeping that commandment. Much prosperity of the Latter-day Saints can be attributed to following commandments such as these. The United States government banned alcohol from 1920 to 1933. It was a complete failure. Prohibition fueled illegal alcohol consumption as well as distrust of federal authority. I find it interesting to compare the two. #ThinkCelestial

@azjustinheap @undrtow484 @BradenDisguised Not stating it is true, but I remember listening to a historian in Mormon stories podcast stating that many of JS revelations were when he was drunk. Will try to find the video if you are interested

Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap
Joseph occasionally drank wine and sometimes Tea, there's no record of him ever being drunk. The WoW was not originally a "commandment" it was the Lord's Counsel. After the Saint's settled in Utah, Brigham Young and Quroum of Apostles elevated it to a Commandment. It has been so for over a century.

@BradenDisguised @Doubtin82838371 Not all people who drink are irresponsible. Go read the whole passage on the wedding miracle of Jesus, preferably not from Luke (too abbreviated), and you will find that the wine was to get drunk. The Jewish didn’t drink not to get drunk at weddings, and Jesus provided the best

@Doubtin82838371 Don’t put Jesus on the same side as terrible men that kill families in car accidents.

@PerraRespecter @BradenDisguised @xBuzzRush Never forget about the strong Alcohol being produced in St. George Utah by Mormons. That thing was known for how strong it was, unlike Bible times. But yes, nothing wrong with drinking alcohol according to Bible. Excessive drinking is not good, but that’s obvious

@ProphetTruth95 Didn’t you see what question I asked you? Do you know how to read scripture references? Jeez is like talking to a toddler.

@ProphetTruth95 As I said, I understand it for sure. Definitely think it is stupid logic and wrong, but I understand it. It is interesting how I invite you to debate, try to keep it respectful, and then you like most Mormons X Warriors start getting aggressive trying to feel superior. Pathetic.

@ProphetTruth95 For sure! I put D&C 1 verse 38 (1:38). My question about it is: what do you do when the Mormon god has said that wether from his voice or the ones from his servants it is the same. How do you determine when it is a “man” or “inspired.” Also, what constitutes truth regarding it

@ProphetTruth95 So how do you know when someone is being “moved by the Holy Ghost” or not from the pulpit at General Conference as described in D&C 1:38?

@JordanGuatqui Crazy. I do not like the LDS church and often call them a cult. Having said that, I would never wish evil on anyone. May God keep you safe and sound in this happy new year!

New Year’s resolution for you (you know who you are): Stop calling or openly wishing for the destruction of my homeland and the deaths of my fellow children of God. Thank you 🙏🏻

@ProphetTruth95 They did! I even took one class per semester af BYU that alluded to it. And I understand it. I strongly believe it is wrong, but I understand it. I want your take on it

@ProphetTruth95 I know the answer that has been given to me. But then again, you seem to have a different perspective/answers on it which is why I am asking you in complete sincerity. I have conferred with Bishops, BYU professors, Stake Presidents, former Stake Presidents, and even one GA.

@ProphetTruth95 So when does he speak as a prophet and when does he speak as a man? And when does it become a rule or doctrine? Because for people back then, that was doctrine. As D&C reveals.

@ProphetTruth95 @hicksticks2001 Ohh I get what you are saying. Yes, which is why I asked you how do you determine truth according to you in Mormonism

@ProphetTruth95 @hicksticks2001 Prayer being the rule is what in my experience what people including prophets say. Even JS. Then we went deeper into that in which I sought to understand your position, but for some reason you called me disingenuous. But anyways, here we are

@ProphetTruth95 @hicksticks2001 So let me get this straight. The leaders said from General Conference that the law of God cannot be changed. Yet in 1978 God changed his mind about black people. And for almost 2k years it was okay for blacks to be slaves and be kept from promises of heaven?
