@Hashboz @pimomormon Are you talking about how Joseph waited years before telling anyone about allegedly seeing god in the woods? Would that be one reason his various accounts are all so different from each other?

@pimomormon @undrtow484 Any historian knows there are metrics on reliability of second and third hand reports and the time between when the quote was said and when it was reported. Any historian or journalist should consider that quote virtually unusable. G’night. It’s been fun.

I have been a member my whole life and I have no idea what “purity culture” is. I only hear ex-mos use it as a bludgeon tool. I can only conclude it is not real.

There was a MASSIVE uproar on the left about Kash Patel attending the USA vs. Canada hockey game… … but RADIO SILENCE about Democrat MI Gov. Gretchen Whitmer spending tax dollars to fly out to Italy SPECIFICALLY for the game Democrats are hypocrites.

@undrtow484 @Hashboz This makes sense. Kimball spends so much time harping on sin and driving purity in it that once you get to forgiveness you’re already full of guilt.

@Hashboz @pimomormon Plus Kimball was full of all kinds of horseshit. Ideas like masturbating turning you gay, or that it’s better to die than to be sexually assaulted. I think maybe kimball was a little gay.

@pimomormon @undrtow484 Guilt= Godly sorrow that motivates us to change for the good. So, yes that’s exactly the point of the book. Cuz ya know… it’s like literally called “The Miracle of Forgiveness”. Hard to feel that miracle without going through a repentance process. Pretty effective book!

@Hashboz @pimomormon Nope. It made missionaries who were perfectly worthy after having already been through the repentance process, feel like they had committed sins that were unforgivable. That they were past redemption.

@pimomormon @Hashboz We were told by my mission president to get rid of all the copies because it made so many missionaries help unworthy and that they needed to go home. He made it sound like it was a church wide decision.

@Hashboz @pimomormon If it’s so hopeful why was it removed from the list of books that full time missionaries are allowed to read on their missions?

@pimomormon Miracle of forgiveness is one of the most hopeful books ever written what are you even talking about? Or have you not read the whole thing?

@Here_s_Hoping It’s so sad that all the prior prophets apparently to misunderstood the law of chastity by teaching you’re a chewed up piece of gum once you have premarital sex

“His office insisted this was strictly a business trip” - BS. That is not what happened. You tried to claim Kash only went to Italy for hockey. I responded 2/19 outlining the meetings we had scheduled and said any other personal expenses would be reimbursed. Here’s the email.

@hankrsmith I would disagree with that. After 35 yrs of activity in Mormonism, life has been significantly sweeter after leaving 5 yrs ago. Life is more joyful in every way. And I have more money in my bank account. If Mormonism works for you, great. But stop pretend it’s for everyone.

Life is hard. It is exponentially more painful when you do not live God’s commandments.

@JimRoland15 You guys gotta stop acting like you know what’s right for everyone else. If you want to go to church, great. But stop putting your beliefs on everyone else. I went to church for 35 yrs, but being out of it is so much better, for me.

The best thing you can do for your children is get them to church and make it a joyous part of their lives. Go to church y’all, find joy,
