BREAKING: BrahMos-NG Expected by 2028–29 The BrahMos-NG (Next Generation) air-launched supersonic cruise missile is expected to be ready by 2028–2029, according to Alexander Maksichev, speaking to Sputnik. The program is a joint venture between India's DRDO and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyeniya. The smaller size allows for better integration on a wider variety of platforms, including ships, submarines, and aircraft. Fighter jets like the HAL Tejas and Su-30MKI will be able to carry multiple missiles at once.

GE demands 300% cost increase for AMCA engines. India’s negotiations with GE Aerospace over the F414 fighter jet engine have reportedly stalled after the projected cost surged from ₹70–80 crore per engine to over ₹200 crore during commercial discussions. IRAN: MISSILE PROGRAMME ‘NOT NEGOTIABLE’ Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran's missile programme was not included in the 14-point memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States and will not be part of any future agreement. Pezeshkian said: “Without missiles, we'd be like Gaza.” He emphasized that Iran's ballistic missile capabilities are a core national security asset and firmly rejected any linkage between missile restrictions and ongoing diplomatic negotiations with Washington.

Bangladesh is reportedly moving ahead with plans to acquire 24 Chinese J-10CE multirole fighter jets as part of a broader expansion of defence ties with Beijing. The deal, reportedly worth around $960 million, could be finalized by August and comes amid growing China-Bangladesh cooperation in defence, infrastructure, trade, and investment. India is in early-stage talks with the UAE to export the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. The countries are also discussing the sale of Akashteer, an automated air defense system developed by India which was extensively deployed against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. ‘Won't return to pre-war conditions’: Iran says Hormuz will be administered by them Iran's chief negotiator and parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Tuesday said the Strait of Hormuz would remain under Tehran's administration and would not return to its pre-war status. Ghalibaf stated that "the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-war conditions and will be administered by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” AFP reported.
