Nepal Objects to Kailash Mansarovar Route via Lipulekh Nepal has objected to India–China plans to conduct the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lipulekh Pass, falsely claiming the route passes through its territory. Kathmandu reiterated that Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura belong to Nepal, citing historical treaties, and said it was not consulted on the decision. Indian Ministry of External Affairs rejected the claim, stating the route has been in use since 1954 and termed Nepal’s position “untenable”, while remaining open to dialogue.
