Japanese micro-cap Honyaku Center $2483.T limit up today. They announced weaker results than last year, but announced changes in their shareholder return policy. Now based on "Dividend on Equity (DOE) of 6% or more" and "Total Return Ratio of 100% or more". [1/2]

@jawagner92 Thanks! A possible merger would really get me interested here. 🙂I prefer paying up a bit (perhaps 8x earnings in current market) for a bank with a higher ROA and a relatively large percentage of non-interest bearing deposits.

@jawagner92 Are there other reasons for a potential merger with $CMTV than those you mentioned? It looks like $MDVT's bank has been around for almost 200 years, prides itself on being "locally owned" and the management owns very little stock. I don't really see their incentive.

@thewritser @Ron284Ron They probably are. I'm not really interested after this move though. Also not clear to me if my broker would handle the conversion well and if I'd be able to receive dividends and the option to participate in a future buyback.

@NeverLoseMoney @Ron284Ron I also held a few shares, happy to hold them through the redomestication. These projections, together with their past financials, suggest to me that shares were very cheap.

Stock symbol $MRGO No longer appears. Apparently they filed to delist and may merge with a Singapore entity. Info available says it's on Expert Market.

@Ron284Ron The Spector family held 80%+ of the $MRGO shares so this was a done deal. Minority shareholders screwed and left with their appraisal rights. Was lucky to be able to sell my few shares. They did mention they might do buybacks of the private shares in the future. [2/2] $MRGO

@Ron284Ron I received mail about this one. This is a "redomestication merger". "Outdoor Living" is the new private entity that will be wholly owned by "Outdoor Living Inc." (also private). So shareholders get a share in the new private entity. The expert listing is gone. [1/2] $MRGO

Received another $0.63 distribution from $CMUV on April 23. More than I expected. That should be the final distribution.

Main liquidation distribution for $CMUV came in at $25.20 yesterday. Looks like they held very little back, perhaps a few more cents to come in a final distribution.

@tristanwaine Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Perhaps there's a silent cost in the investment field as well? Relying on AI to summarize an investment thesis, generate ideas, etc. might slow down the development of investors in certain areas as well.

Well, article focuses more on how the filers themselves took advantage of this, but an individual investor tracking and reading handwritten filings could probably also gain an advantage.

Interesting article about handwritten ownership disclosures in Australia: archive.is/20260325010635…. Always thought the handwritten filings were weird, but the article suggests there was an edge for investors that focused on filtering out and reading the handwritten ones.

@thewritser The sitting government will say something like: we're not happy with this system, but repealing it will require us cutting welfare, daycare for children, or some other cost that will spark outrage with voters. Or the tax authority "won't be able to adjust their IT systems". [2/2]

@thewritser Agree with the sentiment. Have also noticed some pretty extreme takes in my feed on this. My worry: a repeal will not happen for years, just like the current situation has persisted. Especially since repealing the new law will prob. cost the state billions. [1/2]

As a Dutchie I would like to point out that I strongly believe that: 1. The proposed new tax system is bad. 2. Yet you are better off blocking anybody on X who shared a hot take or viral video or whatever on this topic the past week.

If you sent me a DM in the new year, please resend your message. I lost access to my Twitter messages for a few days. Everything works now, but I can't see who messaged me in the last few days anymore. I know I missed one or two messages as a result of this issue. Sorry!

@finphysnerd Doesn't your last sentence imply that your tweets could be seen as investment advice? People should do their own work and take full responsibility for their own decisions. I do agree that admitting you were wrong is important and to have no shame in doing so publicly.

@taobanker @ShmuelLon @SharogradskyM Same. I think it's something all of us on fintwit can do better. If we want a following of people who take our ideas seriously, I think we need to recognise the responsibility that comes with that. Lessinformed people are investing their hardearned money based on ideas we present

I never hide my mistakes and not hiding. I have nothing to add to Intellego saga since after the last report it was obvious all fraud and worth zero I also wrote that sold Most of the position before the report and explained that after reviewing the deal with PE more deepl->
Myles@finphysnerd

One of the loudest and most followed $INT.st bulls and not a peep about their CEO being charged with fraud. It's totally fine to make mistakes, but own them, especially when you're one of the pied piper's leading lemmings off a cliff.
