@Sunroook They're meant to be handed out to contractors at times, so they're surprisingly short. The Mario Family Illustration Manual is only eight pages, for instance, but it's also for a very clear usecase: "here's how you're allowed to use this stock art".

@deciphrr @R4M4TTR4 they're brand guidelines. basically they tell the graphic designers, social media managers, etc. how to use and not to use different elements (mascots like in this case but also colors, fonts, logos) so that they can communicate consistently the way they wanna (some examples)

That's right, he's not even the Sith Master while he's issuing commands to the Federation!

one of my blind spots in gaming is that I've never actually played Skyrim but it seems like they made the nords generic viking types when in previous games they were scandinavians who worshipped the indu gods and could do that stuff from David Lynch's Dune

Did you Know: At the start of Morrowind you are given a Package for Caius Cosades? If you look at it, it appears to be gibberish, but it is actually a encrypted message using a Vigenère cipher with the keyword "COSADES". If you were to successfully decode it, you would learn the Emperor's plan for you several quests before Caius would reveal it.

I've explained to my chat several times recently that there is a fish in FFXIV that, if not caught before August 1st, will be completely unavailable for 92 days due to the catch conditions not lining up.

However, by removing that little speck of dorky "coolness" you also remove the charm. It becomes a generic plush.

Overall I think Star Fox's big issue is that the big game everyone liked is the original and thus they just... keep remaking it.
