Yes, because it's better. If your choices are "maybe I should act and carry myself in a way that is dignified and considerate of others" vs "I don't gaf about anyone, I do what I want to do" then yes, the former is better. All of this was considered polite society until 5 minutes ago and now we have to see people's coochies at the grocery store.

@WokeIsEvil @CatholicCharm Instead, i'm supposed to be ok with your moral standards or your faith and beliefs. Got it.

The replies to this are exactly as I expected them to be. Men can’t speak about this without being accused of being perverted when in reality the women leaving their homes half naked in skin tight clothes to do deep squats in front of strangers are the actual perverts in this scenario

Someone in America needs to start a men's only gym chain. As a Catholic man that needs to lift and do cardio for physical and mental health, it's a war to keep custody of my eyes every single time. Women do not wear appropriate clothing. It's gross.

@tremblegay @wysprer @CatholicCharm No clue to be honest, I have an android. But I imagine if not Paprika there must be an Apple equivalent?
English

@dryerwall @CatholicCharm Haha nothing, it's a genuine recommendation. One of my stepdaughter's friends turned me onto the app and I've stopped being violently angry trying to navigate recipe blogs.
English

@Garf_orange_cat @CatholicCharm I want to get my $2 back!!
English

@NewLoreCo @CatholicCharm How much are they paying you for this comment lol
English

@wysprer @CatholicCharm Yes but this is useful if you want to keep your recipes in one place. I use my app every week for dinner so it was worth the $2, and I save the recipes I want without giving them any additional pageviews.
English

@muchtoocommon That's crazy lmao Insane levels of cope from Amazon

@findveritasx What an interesting observation, I think you might be right. I was raised Catholic but my husband is Protestant so I'm getting a bigger taste of his faith and I definitely see this.

One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed between being an evangelical and a Catholic is that evangelicals strangely seem to reject that God is present in the material world.
As an evangelical, the world is almost implicitly a gnostic situation where material things are essentially worthless and separate from God.
All that seems to matter is the spiritual and while material things may be vessels of the devil, they are never truly vessels of God.
For instance holy water, relics, a church building, even the water of baptism, these are all seen as materially worthless. All that counts is the spiritual. Even an institutional church is seen as largely unimportant as long as you are spiritually in a relationship with God.
Because of this, they miss out on the fullness of faith and God. The incarnation was God stepping into our material world and redeeming it. The heavens, AND the earth are His. God can make a language, water, a building, a handkerchief, and even a human body sacred.
I think this is largely why Catholic art reigns supreme. As a Catholic you see the redemption and holiness of the material world before you.

@CatholicCharm There might be other similar apps but this is the one I know and use. But it's the only way to open a recipe and actually be able to read it.
English

I downloaded the Paprika app and paid the $2 or whatever for life because I can't stand the ads. You copy the recipe link from Pinterest, plug it into Paprika, and it auto downloads the recipe! Life-changing! Lol It is now absolutely impossible to have a recipe open on these recipe blogs because of the ads, it's horrendous.

@DassCoool @OldHollowTree It is! But if you question it you're not "thinking in the best interest of the children."
Some parents seem to think that group sports like this are the epitome of good parenting (or the holy grail to a free college ride?)

@hatttt224 @whatever Ours isn't a man-hater (was raised mostly by a single Army dad so she's conservative as hell) but she is much more interested in her games than history for sure. She could probably tell you the *entire* lore of Genshin or Resident Evil but nothing about WW1 lol
English

@NewLoreCo @whatever It is about priorities most Gen Z whether black, white or latino are more interested in religion, business and history than women and women are more concerned with being hoes and hating men. Most of the women probably know more about fake feminist studies than they do history.
English

@hatttt224 @whatever The guys yes, I would probably agree with you. My stepdaughter is a good kid, but I genuinely have no idea how you grow up and never learn this though. Seems like they're neither learning this in school nor learning about it through movies/general culture somehow.
English

@NewLoreCo @whatever I’m Gen Z and I disagree every Gen Z guy I know would be able to answer basic questions like this. The women in my generation are mostly hoes that hate men and are very slow but the guys would be able to answer it.

@babybeginner The streets of NYC already have an ever-present aroma of stale urine punctuated by trash at all times, this is just going to be so much worse.
English

Dear New Yorkers who have never seen dumpsters. Let me explain what this will do.
1. They will stink. They will get all kinds of gross liquid in them and they will stink. 24/7. Wait for the summer. That’s gonna be so charming.
2. Trash will pile up over and around them. Bc it ALWAYS does.
3. Parking way up. $$$$. I know you don’t think you care but it will cost someone more money which will be passed onto you.
4. These could easily bc homeless shelters. The trash will then be tossed on the streets.
5. Rats will find a way. It will smell like food to them at all times. It will attract them.
6. It’s going to cost a bunch of money.
7. It will be UGLY. They will be covered with all kinds of gross garbage materials. Hence the stinking mentioned earlier. The beautiful streets will be packed with these. Imagine a 100 story building. How big of a dumpster do they need?
8. Will they be moved every other day like cars? How will the street sweepers get around them?
9. And other stuff I haven’t even thought of yet.

The movies are not very good, and I know that the Warrens are very controversial, but something I appreciate about The Conjuring movies is the depiction of a genuinely loving married couple. It's so rare in media now that it's entirely refreshing to see a loving marriage on TV.
And not just a loving couple, but one where she isn't the independent girl boss and him her beloved but bumbling idiot husband. A horror movie franchise is not where I would expect to see an aspirational depiction of marriage but unfortunately it's so rare that I appreciate it where I can get it.

@Helene_FR @Adobe Yes, they 'generously' let me stay grandfathered in the photography bundle (Photoshop and Lightroom only) they were discontinuing, but only after doubling the price first. It's very cute how they spit in your face and tell you how much they appreciate your longterm patronage!
English

Thank you @Adobe for essentially forcing loyal customers to pay more money for less apps in your new Creative Cloud Pro/Standard plans choice. How is it that I have to downgrade from pro to a standard plan, yet pay more? People are not stupid.
