We were told by the office of the Chief Justice under her instruction that “The preparation of the judgment is at an advanced stage and its delivery is expected within a month” Chief Justice Mandisa Maya must not think she is above the law, she must do a right thing. We still waiting for Phalaphala judgement even today.

Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga had a brief stint as Acting Deputy Chief Justice following the appointment of Justice Mandisa Maya as Chief Justice, from September 2024 until his retirement in July 2025. Interestingly, on October 2021, it is said that President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that he was one of the eight nominees that were considered to succeed Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng. The position was ultimately filled by Justice Raymond Zondo. What a pity. I still think he is the Chief Justice we never had. Our lives could have long been better. 😢 #MadlangaCommission
