I’ve spent the past 6 years during my Christmas Holidays being glued to my phone, stuck on charts, and missing unique moments for a market that for the most part stays the same. It’s the only regret I have in recent memory. My parents are older, my grandparents approach their century year milestones. I can’t even remember how the last few years felt. Always a white noise buzzing in my ear, worrying about positions and things that truly don’t really matter. This year, I am taking it upon myself to step away from markets, as there is always an excuse to be around them. Of course, there could be an emergency scenario. But mindlessly staring at Christmas price action is usually a waste of time in retrospect. A reminder to cherish the unique moments in your life.
