@SSodhi90 @whattalawyer Read more before you tweet. Victim wasn't just "not attending", he had some injury on his feet and couldn't attend. He was a bright student who won competitions and was also engaged in organising events at the law school. Didn't deserve to be debarred, just needed some support.

9 years marked by the loss of a bright young life (a senior from my college), student protests, and yet no real accountability from the college authorities. The result - deaffiliation of Amity Law School, Delhi (GGSIPU). But who is truly to blame for the death of such a promising student? Who will take responsibility for the silent trauma students endure because of unreasonable pressure put up by colleges? This is not just one law school but every university in India which neglects mental health of its students.

Such global rankings are deliberately created to manage media narratives and, more recently, to train AI. Sweden based V-Dem Institute is no small place (check it out). It is supposed to be one of of the leading democracy related think tanks in the world. However, as you can see, it is really an proxy for certain interests that uses such ranking for their agenda. India will always be ranked low in these rankings as we do not bend to their pressures. As can be seen, it has nothing to do with the resilience of democratic institutions. I have been writing about this for years. See this report from 2022 where I detail how these flawed indices work: eacpm.gov.in/wp-content/upl…

BIG REVELATION 🚨 ISRO spotted a “minor leak” on SpaceX Falcon-9 before Axiom-4 launch. It turned out to be a SERIOUS fuel line crack 😳 The flaw could have caused a major disaster. All 4 astronauts, including Shubhanshu Shukla, were at risk. ISRO’s vigilance saved both the mission and lives.

@MamataOfficial @grok the bill doesn't speak about judicial freedom rather it speaks about removal of ministers if and only if they are jailed for 30 days or more. Do you think nobody told this to Ms banerjee or do you think she is saying this just for the sake of tamasha?

I condemn the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill, proposed to be tabled, by the Government of India today. I condemn it as a step towards something that is more than a super- Emergency, a step to end the democratic era of India for ever. This draconian step comes as a death knell for democracy and federalism in India. To suppress the voting rights of the Indian citizens in the name of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) , this is another super- draconian step by the Centre now. This Bill now wants to finish the Independence of our Judiciary. What we are witnessing is unprecedented-- the Bill is nothing short of a Hitlerian assault on the very soul of Indian democracy. The Bill seeks to strip the judiciary of its Constitutional role- to take away the power of Courts to adjudicate on matters that lie at the very heart of justice and federal balance. By vesting such powers in partisan hands, the Bill mutilates democracy. This is not reform. This is regression- towards a system where the law no longer rests with independent Courts but is placed in the hands of vested interests. It is a chilling attempt to establish a rule where judicial scrutiny is silenced, Constitutional safeguards are dismantled , and the people's rights are trampled. This is how authoritarian regimes , even fascist ones in history, consolidated power. It reeks of the very mindset that the world once condemned in the darkest chapters of the 20th century. To weaken the Courts is to weaken the people. To deny them the right to seek justice is to deny them democracy itself. The bill strikes at the basic structure of the Constitution- federalism, separation of powers, and judicial review- principles that even Parliament cannot override. If allowed to pass, it will be a death warrant for Constitutional governance in India. We must resist this dangerous overreach. Our Constitution is not the property of those in temporary seats of power. It belongs to the people of India. The intent of the Bill is to consolidate a system of one man- one- party- one Government. The Bill tramples upon the basic structure of the Constitution. The Bill seeks to empower the Union to intrude upon the mandate of the people, handing sweeping powers to unelected authorities ( ED, CBI- whom Supreme Court has described as ' caged parrots') to interfere in the functioning of elected State governments. It is a step to empower the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister in a sinister manner at the expense of the basic principles of our Constitution. The Bill must be resisted at any cost! Democracy must be saved at this moment! The people will not forgive any attempt to take away their Courts, their rights, and their democracy. Jai Hind!

📊 Update with stats for the Forever Mint: Since it was announced, there’s been 1,118 Ghosts minted, generating 2.24 million HBAR volume. Aside from minting being fun, one of our favorite parts about the forever mint is that apart from royalties, all that HBAR was injected right back into the market, buying back more Ghosts to replenish the minting pool. In the last 6 months, Dead Pixels’ volume was 2.1 million HBAR. Of that, 1 million HBAR was from minting, accounting for ~48% of our total volume. That % would be even higher if you count purchases to replenish the minting pool as related to forever mint volume. With the overall NFT market being in a slow period, this has helped considerably with increasing our baseline volume. Mint Party: The mint party saw 485 mints generating 650K HBAR volume and total volume for the 24 hours reached ~1 Million HBAR across all platforms after buybacks began. This means the mint party just about doubled our projects volume for the last 6 months. We’re already reviewing how things went and working on ways to make the next one even better. After the mint party concluded, our holder count had increased by over 50, and additional treasury funds allowed us to increase our open order bids by a decent amount, with the top order now sitting at 17,500 HBAR. We’ve received a lot of good feedback and ideas, and we think there are a lot of ways we can refine the forever mint to make it even more fun. There’s also a few additional Hedera projects that we’re working with to eventually get started with the forever mint for their collections, which we think will put Hedera NFTs in an even better position to succeed when the NFT cycle returns.
